It’s no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 had one of the worst launches in recent gaming history. And there were a lot of accurate negative reviews posted for this game back in 2020 and early 2021.

But today, Cyberpunk 2077 is in a much better state thanks to numerous patches and content updates. So most of the recent reviews are positive.

But not everyone is happy about this game. So in this video we’re going to take a look at some 1 star reviews of Cyberpunk 2077 posted in 2023. I’ll be seeking out the most unhinged and worst takes among them because hey that’s just more fun.

  1. I have been dying to play this game since it was released, but every time I'd watch a review, they would say to avoid it because it's buggy or broken.
Is it finally safe to play?
Seems like some people talk positively now, and I'm hoping it is.

  2. The games still trash. I played on pc where there really wasn't that many bugs at launch and I still feel the game was extremely mediocre especially when compared to what cd project red did with witcher 3 its a massive step back it's not even a rpg. People are going to rate games for what they are when they played it to why would anyone be happy with having to wait for 2 years to get a finished experience through patches? Entire system where broken like the police system I have never seen that in any game. Have a back bone and call the game for what it is we shouldn't be praising anyone for fixing the product that's how it should of launched. The story was ok at absolute best but really lead to no where imo. The core game just isn't anything special let's not act like its some hidden gem. I've played ubisoft games that are more fun and that says alot because I hate ubisoft.

  3. It was super bad back then, so the hate is deserved. I bought my copy for less than 10$, but I feel for the people who paid 70$ at launch to play a broken game. Also the “the game is good now argument” is a another reason why a lot of devs these days are releasing unfinished games.

  4. As someone who enjoys the game a lot, there are still quite a few annoying bugs but none in my experience have been game or immersion breaking(aside from the ones accidentally brought on myself via modding). One such bug is, for some unknown cause; being unable to call Jackie after the Heist which locks what I believe to be some of the most important and heartfelt dialogue of the game. There's even a special line if you call him right before you head into Embers.

  5. Tbh, I played on PC and it wasn't super buggy, but I still haven't been able to complete the game because it crashes whenever I try to start the mission with Takemura at the parade. I refuse to start ALL THE WAY OVER and sit through all that dialogue all over again, just so I can complete the game. I'll try again in a year under a new save but yea… something's up with my main save file and I can't finish so I just drive away and kill people lol

  6. i don't really think it's fair to say he supports Russia in the war he's just upset that cd project red is not supporting Russian Gamers because of the war

  7. TBH, I'd say that right not, Cyberpunk 2077 went from 1 to a 4 out of 10, if you go dumpster diving, or find a copy being used as a door wedge at a friend's house, or get it real cheap like $12, buy it, play it on easy, and enjoy the story because it is sublime, or at least that's why I tell people, I mean it's better than just telling them, what it on YouTube.

BTW, if that last guy was playing on PlayStation, for some reason the game panics the first time you boot it up and end up corrupting the save data, so you may need to have your backup at hand, yeah it happened to me several times, so every time I finished a session I have to create a backup.

  8. I get that everyone was angry at launch but i think people forget they had to release the game early due to all the threats n shi they received. They’ve put a lot of effort into it over the last 2 years and it does go on sale every once in a while so definitely worth the buy

  9. It’s still a pile of shit, fixers are worse, they take forever to call with car sales. Cars still fly into the air because the collision animation is out of whack, and this game has cemented my hate for fps’s, if the next game is first person I won’t be buying it

  10. the trans flag the reviewer is talking about is posted on the back of CLAIRS mackikinah truck that you can earn if you beat the quests with her. Clair is Trans and i personally love it that they put the flag on the back of the truck

  11. To be fair, CDPR games are dialogue heavy (and imo best writing in the industry), so if you just want constant action and skip dialogues. Their games are just not for you, which is ok, people like different things. There's also this magic where sometimes you just need to wait a couple of years. Not because the game need to age, but you.

  12. 4:49 You know I've come to realize that some people just suck and have bad opinions. "Oh Top Gun Maverick was just generic and simple. They've been making standard action movies like that forever, people just got hyped over it cuz of the pandemic." "The Last of Us is so generic and boring, I've seen the same story done like 20 times already, nothing new." (actual opinions of people who I know)

  13. The sad fact is these 1-star reviews are right… it's standard fare… typical FPS quasi open-world, with prompt based, semi linear dialogue to drive the plot. It's like what would happen if GTA and Deus Ex had a bastard child.

  14. I was one of the haters of Cyberpunk because I played it on Xbox One cruising around at 10fps was not fun and felt horrible. I came back to Cyberpunk recently on Series X and it's in the top 3 games I've ever played it's awesome
