After a lengthy chat, we dived deeper into the dystopian story of Cyberpunk 2077 and played the next part of the storyline of Kerry Eurodyne.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. The Yale Book of Quotations documents “You cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs” from Robert Louis Stevenson in 1897. Still earlier, T. P. Thompson wrote in 1859: “We are walking upon eggs and … the omelet will not be made without the breaking of some.”

  2. Great topics, wondering How You decide The Size of an open World when making it. Like What was the decision to make witchers 3 world the size it is vs Cyberpunk. And how Big to You Think a world should be when it comes to open worlds in general? For exsample worlds that have a car or horse vs ones that have you travel on foot like the Fallout games.

  3. I totally agree with you. For a job to go beyond the screen, it needs a lot of care, detail, talent and time. Nothing really good and lasting comes out any other way.

Those of us who admire Cyberpunk 2077 and want new dives and improvements will wait as long as you need. When 2023 ends we will have lived a new experience in Night City and it has to be a great digital experience with V. Much encouragement and all the positive energy to CDPR.

  4. I found the topic of the self-driving cars interesting, at least for the Delemain, but I don't know how many people would actually use it. In my head, I'll just pretend V prefers full control. May be a good mod, even though I don't dive into those much.
