After a short break from, the release of patch 1.6, Edgerunners anime, we are back to talk about Cyberpunk 2077 and play more open world content, including one of the new gigs.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  6. I think I found some differences here and there (mostly in quest, like some new dialogues for NPCs) in 1.6's new playthrough, but I can't tell if they were added in 1.5 or 1.6

Hi, if you guys can work on following you will fullfil the almost everything fans expecting. (Ncpd overhaul and vehicle vehicle combat is already in works)
    1. Metro system
    2. NPCs activities that make world alive not just walking and standing togather. Much can be seen in 2018 e3 trailer.
    3. Active role of trauma team and other factions in world , for example trauma team AV arrival at crime scene and News54 Av.
    4. Flyable AVs
    5. Eating and drinking sitting on bars and overall in world anywhere , make world more interactive.
    6. Installing Cyberware more interactive at all ripperdocs , like at first when victor installs our first cyberware.
    7. Gang random activities ,gangs cars or bikes on road, ncpd random activities and not just stay at one place always day or night…and bodies still there all the game day or night …its weired. Game should create random events rather then fixed that stay at map forver like after take loot or complete… Game should remove them later. To make sense.
Thats all i guess community wanted fixed.

  9. Hey Pawel! As I refuse to use Twitter because of how toxic it is, I wanted to reply to your request for feedback and suggestions.

    1) It would be great if the consumables like food, drinks, and alcohol had more varied uses for them. There are tons in the game, but it's disappointing that they only do the same 1 or 2 things, while alcohol is completely pointless, and people mostly just sell it all to vendors. Maybe give alcohol a temporary defense and body buff while making aiming more difficult? The different food and drink types can have different buffs depending on type, brand, or rarity. It would help loot feel more meaningful and rewarding as a result too 🙂

    2) For PC users, an optional UI hotbar (similar to the Deus Ex games) with programmable keybinds would help improve fluidity and QoL; especially in combat. Console players could maybe receive more configurable button press combos themselves??

    3) The game would really benefit from the inclusion of DirectStorage API in terms of performance. This is a feature on Xbox Series S/X systems and Windows 11 PC's that reduces CPU load and fully utilizes super fast SSD's for near instant loading times and eliminating pop-in. Sony has their own solution to this as well… Maybe pass this along to the engine/tech teams if they aren't already working on it?

Thanks as always for your dedication and hard work!🤘

  10. Hey Pawel. One thing I'd like to add is that I hope the Expansion-and maybe even some of the patches-will be able to add even more opportunities for our Life-path choices, and our Build choices, to impact on how the game plays out. Its so cool whenever that happens in the game 😊! Also, would love to see more gigs for Dino & Wakako. They both seem terribly under-represented at the moment 😉

  11. Could reset ncpd contracts and gang activity after finished, not any mission that requires life choices. Ncpd contracts and gang activities around the map aren't subject to life choices and it'll give us something to do.
Otherwise we're stuck with a dead game and will move onto other games.
    Similar to farcry reset outposts.

  13. I love this game. You guys make such great games (I have 220 hours on Cyberpunk and 510 hours on the Witcher 3) Amazing stories, both games made me cry, laugh, absolutely amazing scores and fun quests. I just finished the anime yesterday I loved it and I’m not even an anime person.

  14. I loved the anime, but real big thing for me is 'Phantom of Liberty", And i can't wait for it… Also don't get me wrong, I don't have "sexual/romantically" obsession for Morgan Blachand 😀 You counted me rest of the people like i have that kind of obsession 😀 My obsession is, Dude is a MERC GOD, 'Solo's Solo', and have huge impact on the lore, Probably he is the person who did most badass shits ever known… and yet he only mentioned by name TWICE in whole game 😀 This bugging me lol. Thats where my obsession came from, I would love to know this guy more and what really happened to him.. How did he survived his encounter with Adam Smasher at top of the Arasaka Tower while active nuke around… Kerry is 80+ years old and still looks 'young', How would Morgan Blackhand would look in his 100+ age.. Is he still active merc? or still working with Militech ? did he died ? WHAT HAPPENED… Phantom of Liberty feel like gonna have huge Militech stuff in it and it would be big missing oppartunity to not include Morgan,.. Also thanks for reading my long ass comment 😀

  15. It’s awesome that more and more people are playing the game and truly experience and recognize the incredible work you’ve done for this game. Very excited to see what you guys will bring to this game and this franchise in the future.

Also, whoever mixed the music for roach race is genius.

  17. I'm glad the Anime evoked the inspiration in people to play the game again or buy the game and understand the lore. It's amazing. I loved the game at the start even though it didn't match the first trailers (which were amazing imho) versus how I experienced it. But that didn't stop me. I also didn't mind because the game still drew me in, made me explore, understand, and have hours of fun, had tons of fun with the combat as well. The cinematic experience of this game and actual heartbreaking moments made me curious for more. And thus i can't wait for more!

  19. hello,

Im a fan, i just wanted to throw in an idea that have been bugging my mind for a long time since you announce your making a cyberpunk game, its a wonderful setting with full of potential, so please maybe do a spin off, do a tournament carrier simulator fighting game set in night city, where you have to manage your stats with training, choosing to chromed up or not and have Cyberpsychosis mechanic build into it. also do what you do best and that is story telling that conjure replayability, so maybe in one play through a player can be a fast fighter than the next one as a heavy or somewhere in between, combine elements from This War Of Mine and Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow with WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game and Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing as a cyberpunk game, it doesn't have to be a triple A experience, digitized sprites like WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game would've been an awesome match to your Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetics, it could just be like an old school charming looking game.

    best wishes.

  21. Hope you and the whole CDPR team are well.
I was wondering, since I played Cyberpunk 2077 for multiple times and still can’t get enough of it, if in future updates, we will be able to keep the epilogue Clothes for V. To bee honest I am obsessed with the attire Johnny has after remaining in Vs Body.. even started searching for it at the locations The Temperance takes place… are the clothes in the game and we have to look for them oder will they remain exclusive for the Epilogues?
If not please add them in future updates.

Kind regards and many thanks for your hard work, dedication and not giving up on the Game.

  22. Hi Pawel, I just wanted to thanks and congratulate you and your team for Pyramid Song, the last quest of Judy's story arc.

This is by far one of the best quest I have ever experienced (and I play RPG since I can hold a gamepad). It's a true benchmark in quest design and interactive storytelling.

As a player, I was fully immersed and connected to Judy.

As a person, the quest so deeply resonated with me that I shed some tears. I know I'm not alone and it's not a surprised. The quest contains some sort of universality.

And as a designer, I was simply impressed and inspired by the quality of the storytelling. The way you used "fantastic" elements is probably what make this quest special for me.

More generally, I think the quest content of Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't really been appreciated at its true value.

The fact is you and your team can be proud of your work : ).

    Regards,

    Alexis

  23. Hey there. How difficult would it be to retool some assets and make them lootable or able to buy in stores. Like…all the crazy teck clothes that the random people have. There are mods that have all kinds of cyber arms, chrome, neck replacements, legs, etc. Also all the dope cars and motorcycles that the various gangs have. Why can't, we buy, steel, them for keeps? It seems like all the gangs have all the really cool looking stuff. WHY?
