Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #42

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

After an intense week of GDC 2022, announcement of the next The Witcher game and the release of patch 1.52 for Cyberpunk, we met again to talk about the game and all current gaming topics.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. Great to see another stream. I have a question Now that Elden Ring has had people talking about open worlds games. one thing I have heard people mention is witcher 3 with all the markers on the map. What they dont seem to realize is how many side quests are unmarked like in Velen i think there was over 20 unmarked quests. honestly i think for the Witcher 4 getting Rid of the white Quest marks with the monsters and treasures and people in cages all over the map would have made the Witcher 3 even better. As you guys had more then enough high qualiety content. another thing i hope you guys work on is making the world and NPCs more reactive. I hid behind an NPC in witcher 3 when i monster was attacking and nothing happend so having more open world systems would be great. Would also be great have some interesting Random encounters as well, along with the more scripted side quests.

  2. Pawel, is it safe to say that the REDengine will stay relevant assuming that work and additional content for Cyberpunk 2077 will be on-going?

I absolutely LOVE the REDengine and would hate to see it scrapped …

  4. You talked about how quests take months to make. I wondering how long random enounters take mainly the really detiled ones. In exsample I came across one in RDR2 which had different choices in it and lead to another enounter based on your choice. and you also have skyrim which as some good ones as well. I would love to see a random enounter as detiled as the side quests in witcher 3. Would really be amazing if someone could pull it off.

  5. Thank you for another great stream! I know your sleep patterns are all kinds of messed up but a 9-hour time difference from San Francisco and you hop on a stream the day after you return, that's pretty darn impressive 🙂 Thank you for giving us our fix of Sasko Sundays 🙂

  6. Pawal I wanted to ask you was it a design choice to be able role play as Johnny silverhand taking over v’s mind. As if he were coming back from dead, knowing Arasaka would use soul killer on him. Finally be able to join alt and using whoever would chip him in.
