Quest Director plays Cyberpunk 2077! #40

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

In this week’s stream, we have started by acknowledging the current situation in Ukraine and discussing what we can do to help in such a scenario. Afterward took a look at the communities creations from the past week and visited cyberspace for the first time.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling, and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in the AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. If this enter into nda territory please ignore but i have a question bugging me for a while now that i tried asking on stream and got no awnser, here it goes.
Are you aware of the allegory of the boat of Teseus and its implications on how our consciousness might exist within our brain? And how there are multiple awnsers to the allegory including building an entirely new boat with parts from both?
Love the content especially the meme reviews cheers.

  2. So I decided not to do the Sinnerman quest because I'd done it before. I chose not to get in the truck and afterwards it showed up as complete. Only one problem, the chase music would not stop. I mean it literally kept playing even after reloading and restarting the game. Unbelievable. I play on Series X btw.

  3. Great stream with lots of info. Guru Sasko > Guru Khian :P. Thank you for answering my animation question and making it so i knew who you were talking about. its much appreciated! I was wondering who i needed to thank for the extra tidbits you can find while modding. I do wonder how big of a venue The Hammer is… like how big does the band have to be to book it? Im still not convinced its a Samurai gig and i just found more clues to thinking Johnny is filling in the blanks he doesnt remember. The human memory is quite fallible after all especially one soaked in alcohol and drugs. Its my theory its a double ticket tour with Kerry and Johnny. Looking at those fans closer now, they are wearing Samurai Reunion 2020 tour shirts and one even has a Johnny Silverhand solo record jacket on. I find that very interesting. but maybe im just looking too deep and its some random reunion they did or wanted to play for some reason. I mean really the only true factual time we see Samurai is when Kerry plays that bootleg in Holdin' On and he has his "2023" hair cut… and samurai split in '07. So that just makes my head spin. that part was what i was trying to spend my Behind the Scenes points on. you mentioned his tattoo progression… just curious, did you happen to look at my tattoo theories i wrote down for both arms? I hope you have a great week and im glad i heard a certain person laugh in the background 😉 <3

  4. Also your story about alcohol matched exactly mine. I'm 24 and have never had a sip of alcohol. Too many members in my extended family have had their lives destroyed by drinking.

  5. Great stream Pawel and its so amazing of you to offer your apartment to those in need at the moment, I wish you all the best! I made a comment on your last stream saying I felt the way V purchased apartments didn't feel very futuristic to me but after hearing what you had to say 2:33:11 I have completely changed my opinion and can actually appreciate the simplicity of the internet browsing in cyberpunk considering the lore.

  6. Your streams are really valuable 🙂 Especially the time you invest into fanarts and memes. Besides giving away valuable information about the industry I think your dedication shows your love for fans. I as a fan feel very appreciated 😀
I also felt confirmed in many thoughts I had about Cyberpunk and the art of storytelling with this episode. Your explanation to connect the consumer with the primal existence to evoke familiarity in him/ her, like in cyberspace, is probably the right answer for a popular, upcoming IP I am a long term fan too. Thanks for your great stream and your dedicated work, till next time 🙂

  7. Great stream love hearing you thoughts on the new games coming out. Just wondring have you played Kingdom come if so what are you thoughts? I think the some Quests design is really well done like the Quest with Johanka. It gives you allot freedom not just from dilague but gameplay to. If you cant beat some one you can kill them in their sleep. Having really well writting Quests that give freedom in both dilague and gameplay like killing A quest giver to save the people he is after is something I would love to see more of in games. But I know its hard to do.

  9. CDPR should really publish a thick book about the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher 3; the ideas that go behind the scenes of creating the visuals, music, stories and characters with insights from the designers and developers. I'll definitely buy it!

  12. Im so glad at around 2hrs 25m he talks about the backlash effect on the team an how the positive feedback has really given them life. Guys I’m on last gen an have enjoyed every single moment of my over 200hrs played. I’m on a One X an it runs np for me. It will crash in a long play session but only like once every 6-10hrs which is passable; not acceptable, passable. The story is amazing, the characters, the city, the sound design. Everything is amazing in this game. I think more ppl should give it a try because this game is a tru RPG. The rebalancing of combat, revamp skill tree, difficulty tweaks, it makes Night City feel like the true main Antagonist an extremely immersive.

  13. This stream was especially important in these times, great distraction from the darkness. I won't lie if I say the streams keep me going through the weeks. Thank you for your continuous streaming and an opportunity to be happier, especially now.

Stay safe, everyone, and take good care <3

  14. Hello Pawel, I have a question for you or UI developers/designers. I noticed that there are clickable places on the main menu screen, they are different on each screen. For example, on the screen where the city dump is shown, you can click on holographic things, on the hand sticking out of the garbage and next car hood. As I said on each screen they have their own. The question is, is this something or is it a UI bug?

  15. I’ve never played another game that has given me as many hours of fun and enjoyment than cyberpunk has.. over a year later and I still play this game on almost a daily basis, on my 4th play through and I’m still enjoying it as much as my first..i mean I’ve never played a game as much for as long as I have cyberpunk, it’s clearly my favorite game ever, so just wanted to thank u guys for creating this gem of a game and continuing to put the effort and love in to constantly improve upon it.. it’s controversial launch really damaged the overall perspective people had of the game,
But I honestly believe that as time goes on, it’ll be looked back on as fondly, if not more so, than the Witcher 3.. I mean the overall reception has already changed for the better since the latest patch dropped, and I think it’ll only continue to get better
