Cyberpunk:
Valve’s newest hardware venture, the Steam Deck, has proven to be a highly capable handheld gaming device. Many of the latest AAA titles, including the intensive Cyberpunk 2077, run admirably on the mobile console at playable frame rates. As Valve continues to develop its new hardware, developer CD Projekt Red has taken extra steps in supporting the device by adding optimized graphics settings in its update for Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since its shaky launch in 2020, receiving multiple patches throughout the past year. The game’s most recent patches, updates 1.5 and 1.52, have been among the most content-heavy patches to arrive, adding new weapons, rebalancing skill trees, and implementing a next-generation graphical update for PS5 and Xbox Series X. CD Projekt Red maintains its commitment to fixing the numerous technical issues surrounding the title and promises that an expansion for Cyberpunk is still on the way.
Owners of Valve’s Steam Deck have noticed that CD Projekt Red has added a Steam Deck optimized graphical setting to Cyberpunk among the usual High, Medium, and Low presets. The Steam Deck graphical preset features a mix of High and Ultra settings with no implementation of Ray Tracing. Graphics options cranked to Ultra include Volumetric Fog and Clouds along with Max Dynamic Decals and Screen Space Reflections. Notably, details about a Steam Deck preset were surprisingly absent from Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.52 patch notes.
Other Games:
Red Dead Redemption 2
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Sadly we can't see anything from your Deck's screen it's all too blurry
Appreciate this video, but hard to see settings, very blurry
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, your camera is out of focus, so we can't see the details!
I’m sorry but how is this showing how to “find good settings”? Seem to me you only alternated between 2 graphics presets, “medium” and “low” on the decks native (16:9) resolution without even touching any individual graphics settings or lowering the resolution to have the built-in FSR even enable…? The concepts is good but execution way too shallow if I may offer some critique.
Thanks for the video! 👍🏼
Unfortunately I've been spoiled by too many years of PC gaming. I can't do 30fps
This looks like a lot longer version of our video from a few days ago
Should get mine tomorrow, which is perfect as I'm leaving on Friday for the weekend.
So excited to get my hands on it
Series X ran fine at launch. PS5 was decent, but had a few crashes and limited crowd density.
Can you do a video like this on AC: Valhalla?
Dude for next time, don't use auto focus for a still shot at same distance. Set to manual, focus and then roll. Cheers bud!
30 fps is trash and somebody already have a video showing the best settings
I like the idea of this because it makes it a lot more user friendly because I really just want to pick up and play games. I don’t mind some tweaking or work but I’m not super savvy and I don’t want to spend an entire weekend trying to fiddle around and get it working.
LOL! “A really good experience.” If you want the best Cyberpunk experience, uninstall it.
Bruh that redemption arc comment in the beginning is a bit of a stretch… Cyberpunk 2077 is still nowhere near where it needs to be for it to be considered redeemed
Just a quick question do you know if you can play and charge The steam deck of the 12v charger in a car
When Cyberpunk 2077 released it was close to finished on PC??? Excuse me, what?! I've played Cyberpunk 2077 on launch using Windows 10 and Archlinux with Proton (because they actually made it working in the first hours after launch) and this game was a mess. It crashed pretty much each hour at times. They had very early hotfixes to apply on PC and after that it run better at times on Linux with non-native support than on Windows.
Yes, the PS4 launch and XBox One was a shitshow. But that doesn't make the launch on PC better overall.
I would agree that they fixed most critical issues on PC relative quickly. But especially at launch I played the game on PC despite many bugs because I enjoyed the story by much, not because the game was stable.
I really like certain parts of the game a lot but saying the game was close to finished on launch… I mean, look at any meme compilation. They certainly did not compose recordings of the console version since the game was pulled from stores. ^^'
I would have to give the award to No Man’s Sky and FFXIV
Thank you for this video…can you do one with Skyrim Anniv edition ?
Did Cyberpunk only have a leasing of Keanu's likeness during the initial promotion of the game because i haven't seen him at all since it's release.
hoping to get my email on the 4th
It's actually better to use a games native implementation of FSR instead of the system level. System level sharpens the whole image while the in game option will not scale the UI making it far easier to read at lower resolutions.
password would be a great thing to be able to put on the steam deck hope it comes
Adding my 2¢ to say, Final Fantasy XV is also an incredible showpiece for this system, even so many years later. It also makes for a good laugh considering the Switch ended up with "Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD" which is just the mobile phone game in HD, and that's just if FFXV looked like the Theatrhythm game from the 3DS and played like a top down beat-em-up with no flair or finesse.
It ran fine on ps5
