The MSI GE76 is one of the most powerful gaming laptops money can buy! It’s also been sold out most of the time since it has launched! I’m very curious to open this MSI GE76 up, see what’s inside, and of course run some benchmarks on this very powerful gaming laptop!

  1. I have the i9 variant of this machine and it's a beast, especially after applying LM on the CPU (reached 10850 CPU score in TimeSpy). But I'm gonna sell it and get a Lenovo Legion as the MSI is way too heavy for my taste and has only a 1080p screen.

  2. I got the same model 25 days back. Gaming and performance are top. But did not like the trackpad at all and the speakers are bad (I'm used to macbook speakers). Another con: can connect to 4k monitor only at 60 fps and not 144 fps. They could have upgraded the HDMI port. As for as the display goes, quad HD could have been nice but the 4K model is overkill for a 17 inch screen. Given the options, I feel 1080p option is a better value for money. Also a suggestion for GizmoSlip Tech, I see only reviewers giving feedback on gaming for the nvidia graphics cards. Could you also try including a smaller section on the performance of GPUs for deep learning (especially laptops as it gives the advantage of being mobile)?

  4. Hi Brandon, I’m Brian. I am trying to make a choice between the Alienware M17 r4 with the intel i7 and the rtx3080 and the Asus strix scar 17 with the Ryzen 5900x and an rtx3080. I only play COD, and I want the best performance for this title. I tried the GE 76 raider and found the Alienware to perform better. I did tweak all settings in the game and windows and am getting in the neighborhood of 165 fps on the R4 with 2560X1440 resolution. The only thing I can attribute to the better performance in the Alienware is the higher power. I want to say price is no concern but I think the scar is the most expensive I’ve looked at. I just want the best Warzone performance. Do you think I can get more out of the scar?

  5. My modem/router was causing the slow Wifi problems. Once I reset the modem/router later that night, I got perfect download speeds on my fiber internet with the GE76. Glad we got that figured out!
