More Bad News For CD Projekt Red – Cyberpunk 2077 Next Gen Delay, Modders Hired, & Patch 1.3 Woes

Today’s mixed bag of Cyberpunk news is more bad than good. The rushed launch for the game in 2020 has put it in a peculiar position as 2022 approaches. While the obvious choice is to hold, there is the possibility that they drop the next gen update in 2021 and with patch 1.3 still introducing new problems it leaves room to wonder why they want it out this year. Holiday sales again? Time will tell, but on the bright side modders have joined the talented developer to help fix the game and expand on its modding tools.

  1. This….cyberpunk is the perfect example of why you dont take something out of development before its done.

Was really hyped by the trailers and stuff for this game, but all hype and excitement has since died and rotted seeing its state after its release.

  2. The fact the season 2 of The Witcher is coming in December i believe the next gen version of the witcher will come the following week. and yes cyberpunk will get pushed to 2022 but in all reality who is clamering for this next gen version anymore?

  3. Its ironic that the company that was famous by their not greedy practises get ruined by their own greedy practises. The game should have been released by the end of 2021 and for pc next gen only.

  4. This is not really a bad news? They're trying not to make the same mistake they made with the game's launch, being more cautious and not giving a target release date so they can delay the update if they had too.

  5. I really wanted to play this game. I was planning to upgrade my GPU & CPU but 2020 happened. Then the game sucked. Dodged that one. Finally got an X series, still waiting for this game to be fixed to at least a playable level.

  6. Maybe CD Projekt red shouldn't take there time. They had "10" years with Cyberpunk, maybe if they knew earlier when the game would have came out they could have know what was too much

  7. I’m playing on Ps5 and I’m having a great time with it. I don’t find it as bad as everyone said it was. No more than any other game. Maybe coz I’m on Ps5? I don’t know. 🤠💕

  8. 2:34 you might say they did a very good job on… the SWITCHER 3? You might even say they… rolled it like a SWISHER sweet? Or maybe, just maybe, that they did SUCH a good job you want to get down and… KISS THEIR feet? …. Im going now.

  9. Ugh… I’ve been itching to do another Witcher 3 playthrough, but I’m holding off for the next gen upgrade. Hopefully it launches this year. Don’t know if I can resist the urge for any longer lol.

  10. People I feel have to he wrong expectations in comparing this game to no man's sky when it should be compared to ff14. That game took a few years after shutting itself down and relaunching itself and making considerable strides to get where they are at now . To a certain extent of the devs want it and the leaders allow it they can get there but it takes alot of time . How long did it take for the FF 14 guys until the game came back and became gd enough to come back for ? Listen we all gotta wait but find something to do and enjoy while u do . He patient and let them cook

  11. People shouldn't laugh at gaming companies hiring modders to be part of the development team moving forward. This is not the first time they did this especially CDPR – The Witcher 3 would have been a terrible game in terms of combat if they did not hire one of the Witcher 2's popular combat mod called Full Combat Rebalance made by Andrzej 'Flash' Kwiatkowski. Everything he did right in his mod for TW2, was ported over to the combat system for TW3.

Search for his name on Google, you'll see old posts that goes wayback 2013 where he was still just a modder making mods for the Witcher 2.

  12. yeah, I love what patch 1.3 fixed but it also broke some stuff, haven't noticed the streets very much but I immediately noticed the missing reward items (Witcher themed stuff that shows up in your stash). the whole method to claim them is broken in 1.3 but at least its a known issue they are trying to fix, hopefully with the next smaller patch.

  13. Bethesda has been hiring modders since Oblivion. The mod author of the Oblivion mod called "OOO" Obsruro's(prob got this wrong) Oblivion Overhaul. He got hired way back when. Bethesda hires more people in secret then they post online for jobs. Personally I think modding communities are a great talent pipeline getting the right people into great jobs.

  14. Listen I think I've been a bit more optimistic than others but I'll happily wait. I've got a lot of games keeping me busy. Cyberpunk has become one of my favorite games of all time even with the state of the game.

  15. Yeah, what the hell is so funny with CDPR hiring modders? They are often fantastic developers and are passionate about the games they create mods for. Many of them are also incredible with optimization. This is a win for everyone.

  16. It should be considered embarrassing when modders who do it as a hobby on their personal computer with less access to the coding are better at programming and patching the game then the industry professionals who made it.

That to me is what's soo funny because it's screwed up, to me, hiring modders is the most telling sign of their incompetence.

  18. Mr. Matty, thanks for uploading, I was one of the many who got scammed on Playstation 4 Slim systems (that too on my 16th birthday) with Cyberpunk in terms of performance, I really hope they can fix the game where it's playable without pop in and weird jank on the consoles it was marketed towards heavily (namely PS4 and XBO) as for the PC crowd I'm glad you guys are enjoying the game and not going through what console players are, and thank you, Mr. Matty, for uploading videos on such a high level of regularity, Im sure it's a challenging task to do, and just wanted you to know we appreciate your content a lot. Thanks again.
