  1. Another thing that may or may not be worth mentioning is in some side gigs there are shards that talk about controlling the memory of various people (usually corpos) to make them do acts that they would never otherwise do like throwing someone out of a window and such. I mention this because they also end the shard talking about moving on to the next phase of the plan. I might be wrong and these two are unrelated but from my memory, these two events may be related and I'm sure there's more side gigs and missions that may add on to this overarching conspiracy.

  2. I loved the ambiguity of uncovering the death of the former mayor, since you never get the full picture just leads and implications.

For instance, I took the cover up by the NCPD as a personal sign of respect for the former mayor since their police work sometimes gets messy, and you can't always play by the rules in a place like Night city. The mayor understood that and had the NCPD's back in the times of need. In return the NCPD didn't want his name to be tarnished by some media vultures, so they gave him a "respectful" sendoff by falsifying his death. So yeah in a sense the NCPD was involved in this case but for their own personal reasons which had nothing to do with his murder.

  3. Spoiler: Sandra Dorsett! the woman we saved from scav at the beginning of the game later called us for her data bank! if you hack her databank you will find out that she a netruner that hacked Nightcorp and find out that they are developing mind control tech! so basically we have a lead but the quest line end there

  4. To add on to your video, through dialogue options with the stall owner, you can learn that the cyberpsycho did get sponsored by someone for all his chrome, but unfortunately as much as i tried, wasnt able to derive exactly who his sponsor was and the BD recording kept me wondering if there was any meaning to the music he was humming. Also, i managed to intercept 2 "unmarked guards" who were entering the "invisible" AV (i had super fast movement speed and double jump helped) and 1 of them was holding an encrypted shard that was basically telling them to delta the fuck out. The AV left without them. My scanner wasnt able to show the affiliation these guards had and their loots were trash. I did manage to take a screenshot of them if anyone's interested but they're basically wearing unmarked full black combat gear that I've never seen before anywhere else in the game. No signs of any corpo brand attached too. Super spooky stuff imo.

  5. I find the side quest with Sandra Dorset and the and reclaiming & craking her databank. that being in regards with NightCorp working on mind-control, it runs far too close together without crossing together. Especially with the Scholarship idea and the crop's ideology and dabbling in Ecology too.

i think you are right with it being possibly could be DLC or expansion further down the line. i was surprised that NightCorp wasn't mentioned more often and played a more upfront role considering NightCorp being the city itself "the heart of the city". and with the rumours of underwater bases in the bay, going to the effort with the swimming/diving mechanics of the game kina makes me think of the cross between cyberpunk lore and possible expansions with a lot of its sidequests.

Thank you for this content! Great video

  6. Just a extra bit. Sandra Dorset, not sure that's how her name is spelled, the woman you saved at the begining of the game. She gives you a quest later that asked you to get a datapad and not look in it. If you look in it and read the shards in her apartment it looks like Night Corp was developing mind control tech and testing it and sent the scavs to hunt her down. She knows you read the pad and if you tell the truth and congratulate her you get a bonus. This is just a theory but in an art book for the game is says Night Corp is from the founder of Night City's wife and that they are shadowy and no other corps seem to want to mess with them. They could have hired you to save Sandra and tiped off the voodoo boys about the chip. This would lead you on the main quest and eventually to the ending with Mr blue eyes. Also in the loading screen at the bottom right it has a Night Corp logo so my theory is that they made you a kind of sleeper agent and you are unknowingly doing as they want, hence them knowing about who and what you are and they you can't change anything.
EDIT 1:Just did the prophet's Song. In it you have to listen to Gary, the crazy guy by Vic's clinic. After a few times he makes you go on a quest for Alpha Centari stuff or whatever in it malstrom and corps exchange a chip you take. When you go back it Gary has been kidnapped and the decuple says that it was by shady people with blue eyes. Given the chips and the meetings existence and that he was kidnapped, I think Gary's claims of someone controlling along with what was said above might be true.

  7. The reference to leaving Agent Orange to keep an eye on Jefferson makes me suspicious that Elizabeth is totally in on things. The meeting with her at the market her earrings and jewellery are very orange in tone, as is the lighting on her in general during that scene.
Could she, knowingly or unknowingly, actually be Agent Orange and that market scene is a piece of cinematic foreshadowing?

  8. Do Sandra Dorset quest line (the girl from first mission) – those are connected. We save her, she ask for help getting back some data – and then we find out she is a netrunner and she found secret project of mind minipulation. There is more in the game connected to Peralez quest than you think.

  9. Only one I've been seeing do these analysis videos and I'm loving it. The side quests in this game are some of the best I've done and the game really rewards curiosity and interest in the world itself

  11. I think that the Blue Eyed Man is having V break into the Glass Palace in space for the client database to further the SSI plot to mind control key figures. Think about it – with that kind of data the Blue Eyed Man and his "peers" will know key details including bank accounts, luxury preferences, vices and anything else the casino saw fit to collate to catalog guests (which could be very substantial). That represents a sizeable head start in beginning to try and take control, probably further their plots by years and for far less then would otherwise be needed.

This also colors my perception of the Path of Glory mission – for all that V has accomplished V is still being lead by the nose by evil figures who just want to use V and can't help V get treatment. Makes going off with the Nomads the safer option – Panam's right, V just needs to get out of the game entirely…

  12. Also, you missed one key factor about the guards in the van – if you incapacitate them without killing them (using smart bullets) their heads explode – likely from a shock collar or even self-destruct implant. They can't be questioned and not even Arasaka can pull anything out of them with the revamped Soul Killer.

  13. There are other things in the game that seem to connect.

One of the cyberpsychos from Regina's questline was a Maelstrom women who attempted to contact an AI called "Lilith" in some kind of messed up ritual and either snapped or got outright posessed.

In the quest from "Gary the Prophet", who apparently got accidentally fitted with a bit of tech that makes him pick up "their" messages you see a meeting between some Maelstrom gangoons and 2 anonymous suits. They exchange some seemingly nonsensical and cryptic words, again mentioning Lilith, and the Maelstrom pass on a datashard that contains more cryptic nonsense, likely a code. When you go back to talk to Gary you learn he got taken by men with blue eyes. Considering this and the fact most of Gary's stories contain a grain of truth (except werewolf Nomads. Cant thing of any parallels there) I think it's safe to assume he was picking up messages in this cryptic code, interpreted them literarily and filled in the gaps himself.

  14. Elizabeth miss remembering the color of her wedding day roses was one of the most memorable moments in the game. The feeling of uneasiness and suspicion hasn't left me weeks after completing the quest line. I was expecting more of these types of detective quests and wish there were more that involved the politics of Night City.

  15. When chasing the van, if you are fast enough. reaching the location same time as the van and choose not to go directly at the guards protecting the location. You can bypass them by jump over the fence to the right side of the entrance. jump on top of the building and reach the landing pad where the invisible flying car is parking. You can kill 2 members of BLACK team who were trying to escape. Upon searching their bodies, you can find an emergency protocol. Talking about Orange, Black and other teams.
