evening all, different type of video today. This is what some might call “speculation” or rather, a more thought out and planned piece of media. With Cyberpunk 2077 nearly at its 3 year anniversary, it’s only right to look stupidly far into the future and ponder about its sequel.

What should Orion do better than 2077? What should it avoid? These are the kind of things which bring us great joy, so join me again will you.

  1. If you can't burn Night City to the ground then I don't want it. Ever since the 2077 trailer and then Edgerunners I want Night City with it's Corpo overlords turned to molten slag as one of the endings. I don't care if it's the same game, just let me destroy Night City!

What I'm trying to say is that I want to roleplay as our boy Johnny but more successful… Or have the quite life of robbing convenience stores.

  2. I can’t imagine they will have another poor launch. I am sure they have learnt from it, and to be fair it was their first game like this, so can only get better. I rather they just give us more DLC than a new game this soon, such a shame they have ended the game, phantom liberty has really reignited my love of the game and now it’s done!

  3. I like the idea that was used in the Sega genesis version of shadow run where you have a Notoriety system. I think it’s called reputation the longer you play you boost your reputation and that causes people to come after you more there’s hits against you, etc. etc.

  4. I think the relic stuff killed most of the game, even though I like the story, it doesn't give you any options to deal with it, the right way to do it would have the main story lurking in the background, the corpo cold war going on and stuff.

In my humble opinion the side quests should me more common and randomized as you said, but the main quests should be extremely difficult at low levels, and also open ended, the heist itself should have more than one ending, even more interesting if the ending depends on the levels, in PL some NPCs don't take V very serious if they don't have enough street cred, that should be as main feature, even to make some of the gigs, also, some gigs should impact on main missions, something like making a lot of jobs for arasaka should made the heist more open ended, same with militech and others, let's say a sidequest that let T-Bug alive, same with Jackie, an ending which Jackie is taken by Johnny instead of V, or one in which Johnny is like Alt or Cortana, maybe even inside the flathead.

Another thing is corp related cred, like, having access to special military grade cyberware, bioware, weapons related to corpos you do more gigs with, which also should change relations with the opposite side, or enough street cred to get access in the black market, also limb damage was totally necessary, having limb damage should be a thing that defines the necessity of cyberware and the condition of it, more like FONV.

  5. Can definitely see where you're going with it wanting it more like an RPG than what it basically had become what it is now, which is a Sci-Fi GTA clone with RPG Elements. I wouldn't mind if they went that route, and if Phantom Liberty was a proving ground for what they could accomplish, it'd be great to see more of the RPG come out of it. I did love what the Mass Effect Trilogy tried to do after all. That being said, I hope it doesn't stray TOO far from what it is post Phantom Liberty, as this is more my style. I couldn't get into the Witcher series no matter how hard I tried, and some RPGs just feel too uncomfortable for me to play now, so for me, I hope they strike that nice balance between the two. I don't think I would have liked it nearly as much as I did in terms of gameplay if it pushed itself more into RPG territory, as I'm more comfortable with the action pace that it has now. But definitely when it comes to story, I think it'd only be a benefit to have more choices and ways to make your character your own.

  6. I definitely agre that Orion can not be launched in the same state that 2077 was launched.
On the other hand I agree that there was a lot of cut content, but you have to give that there was a lot of misinformation from the community part too.
And about the stakes of the game, being a edgerunner is about stakes having a cyberpunk 2077 with no high stakes is ask for a office corpo simulator, everyone in night city are doing things with high stakes V are just higher.

  7. their first priority should be creating every single feature they promised or hinted at before 2077 came out, garages, car customisation, train system, wall running/climbing with matis blades, we haven't forgotten CDPR

  8. The next likely location for orion In my opinion is New York. It will be perfect for V to use air and water vehicles and the city will be very similar to NC with the high rise towers and the suburbs, with a DLC possibly taking place in europe which will then give us another protagonist (JS) to further progress In the Universe.

  9. i find it kinda funny how your like the next game should be calm and stuff whenever alot of stuff is pointing towards like the exact opposite of a calm story like the 5th corporate war and a Ai Invasion lol. on the topic of the map itself they absolutely NEED to flesh it out completely i dont care if id have to wait 2 years for that alone completely flesh out the map make sure theres no weird void areas or areas that lead to empty spaces bring back all cut content and expand on the city i general. another thing i think id like to see is more of the TTRPG stuff like theres aton of really cool stuff from unique cyberware to unique weapons on the topic of weapons as well. we need more heavy weapons and well if you played 2077 for even abit youd know heavy weapons practically dont exist theres the HMG and the CUTSCENE rpg cant even use the dam thing…… and maybe the projectile launcher if youd really count that.

  10. Could you imagine? Could you imagine that there are people who will buy Orion day one? Lol. Never ceases to amaze. This company just started to build our condidence back in this lemon of a game. And though is was nothing more than a glimmer of what was originally advertised people could finally justify their purchase of this giant con. They're not even done with this model yet. Haven't even gotten over the trauma of the last one yet and they're already AUDACIOUSLY advertising what a great model the next will be. Boy, that just does wonders for your confidence in this studio, ya know. Next one'll be a buggy mess too. And i don't see why you can't compare RDR2 to CP2077. They both had this massive scope with insane levels of content. Just one actually pulled it off. Emersed you in a world of wonder. Still TO THIS DAY walk around in RDR2 like this 😮. Hell of a title done right. Sure. Had it's problems. Nothing like this though.

  11. they should reintegrate V into the sequel somehow or give you an option to have him in it like "is V still alive?" or something based on the choices you made in the previous game. Not just choosing a life path but also a previous history

  12. I was really kind of pissed off when I discovered they're not gonna update Cyberpunk 2077 anymore. It feels like it's a huge rip off with all the potential it has. But I understand why. Because the company likely spent almost half a billion dollars on the game. I mean 2.0 was over 120 million dollars to make anyway so continuing to develop the game that has diminished interest because of the terrible launch received (I thought it was fine, as I did not have that many issues but generally for a lot of people it was not), as they would not meet ROI… so starting fresh would be smarter for them. Bad for the consumer, good for the producer.

2.0 had HUGE positive feedback, as the director for the game changed with it, and as such, like I said prior, it's better for the company to get more ROI's in a new game than a game with a semi-bad reputation.
In short, CDP, even with 10 years to make all they said, were overly ambitious in their wants for the game, and it cost them greatly as time progressed and they had to keep changing things to keep up with updated technology. Overly ambitious and over hyping costed them greatly.

I know that CDP said Orion is not in development currently and I don't think the launch or game in general of Orion will be as bad because the game director has changed… and he's the same person who helped make 2.0, which as stated earlier, had a highly positive response.

Biggest two things I want to see in Orion:
    Third person camera
nudity in first person. It adds for immersion and doesn't look weird when you look down in first person and see undies but in the mirrior they're not there.

  13. I really liked the quests that took place in parts of buildings you usually couldn't explore. Like the quest line in Jefferson Peralez's penthouse or when you can take out the Tiger Claw leaders in the mega building to free clouds. There were also gigs to steal things from apartments. It felt like it made the world feel more real to have a quest and to interact with those locations rather than just being apart of the background scenery.

  14. I wish that instead of trying to save our life as the main story line, it would've been all about unraveling the mystery of Night City, what corp is up to what, who is scheming in the shadows, etc… more of a "who dunnit" type of thing… also wouldn't mind seeing Meredith make a comeback 🤔
