Lead Quest Designer plays Cyberpunk 2077! #18

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077➜ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

Today we have helped Panam and her team of Nomads to acquire the Basilisk and moved just after to enjoying activities on the open world – got a new car and punished bad people on Badlands.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open world RPG that I have co-created. As I love talking about design, storytelling and psychology in games, I have started streaming on Twitch and discussing it all with my audience.

My goal is to share everything I have learned over a decade in AAA games industry, openly exchange ideas, explain creative decisions and encourage the next generation of game designers and storytellers to create.

  1. Question, will unavailable areas eg The Stadium, closed door unfinished buildings/areas,space port etc get looked at,or is another new area for paid expansion, priority now, unless they are in the expansion ?

  2. The VHS treatment on the camera is an aesthetic one tho haha. missed this stream, One Q I havent been able to ask yet and is a bit obscure:

During the Arasaka parade, there is a shard talking about a bad smell in the vents on level 3C ("Something crawled in") , as well as a shard with a conversation between someone (apparently homeless) finding a place to stay in the area, with the conversation ending open-ended ("Someone is coming"). I'm trying to find this hidden person/body but starting to wonder if it even exists… dunno if you would have intel about this. perfect immersive sim moment lol

    thanks for the streams.

  3. I sincerely like Cyberpunk 2077, despite the bugs, on my PC it ran good despite what others say. I think the majority of the backlash is from the Console community. Clearly after playing over a 100 hours I would say Cyberpunk is a satisfying action adventure game, but not a good RPG. I have to say that I would have liked this game to have factions that you can join, buying apartments with customization options and having a garage with vehicles customization, option for a 3rd person perspective would have been huge even if it would zoom into 1st person as soon as you entered combat. The fist fighting in 1st person is horrendous and it begs for a 3rd person perspective or should have been scrapped or maybe add 1st person melee combat instead. More side activities like arcades, card games, casino games ect. Finally the main story line is full of urgency…”I need to get this chip out if my head” and I didn’t like it despite having one of my favourite actors play silverhand. It’s hard to pave your path as a successful mercenary if all you think about is playing the next step that will get the chip out of your character’s head. Finally when you do, the game ends… I wish the story was more rags to riches type of a merc story. Hopefully the next cyberpunk game will feel more like an rpg where you are not bound by the main story that translates to an action adventure game. I felt CDPR fans want an RPG where we can get lost with our mercenary character in a cyberpunk world.

  4. I have played Panam's questline one thousand million zillion times lol. I have 100% completed the game four times. I have no idea how many hours I have, but I am guessing somewhere between 1k – 2k. I've got both a PC and PS4 copy of the game. Best game ever. Can't wait for expansions or NG+ 😁

  5. Hey Pawel, great stream! I have a question. Have you by any chance watched an movie called Technotise: Edit i ja? It is a small cyberpunk animated movie from 2009. It is happening in Belgrade during 2070s and it is about a girl who gets an implant that gives her a companion that only she can see. Sounds familiar? I think you will love it.

  6. I finished game back in december and I liked it even tho it has many flaws. I know that you guys didn't have time to make game you and us wanted but I see bright future for Cyberpunk 2077. I want to replay it again but I just don't wanna play it before expansions or new features update if we get them at all. It's hard but I believe in you… I know that business is tough.

  7. "right down everything that comes to mind and try not to use that idea"

is that how we got keanu ruining the game? You picked one of the stupid ideas that no one thought of?

The only way you can prove the critics wrong is to make the game you sold us in 2018.

  8. I always look forward to watching your livestreams homie! I have to say you and the devs helped me dig myself out of a pretty dark place with this game and inspired me to start designing again, that's something I can never forget and I always be thankful for. <3

  11. Oh gosh the amount of time you took in that room at the beginning checking, reading and collecting things. This game is packed with lore , objects and attention to detail. I would love to play like that too!! :))

  13. Hi pawel Can I ask if there was a any plan ever to make biochip some sort of time bômb mechanic. Like you have only 50 days to finish main storyline or then V dies with no turning back? Like because I always thought that is the meaning of that one slider in menu that shows percentage of how múch biochip killing V. And Also I was always thinking that V malfunction should symbolizes that tíme IS slowly going down. I am asking this because it seems to me like stupidity that everyone tell you in the game that you have minimum tíme fór life and then you Can literaly spend hundred of hours in a city without any Rush. And I would just love the mechanic cause fór an example fallout 1. There is tíme clock fór main quest but its pretty long and Can be Even longer or be infinite. And i think in cyberpunk IT could just dissepear when player fór example finish main game and again Can do open world stuff now without any rush. Thanks however fór good work on game.

  14. And I Also want to ask pawel if you dont mind-why after heist no one from arasaka dont go to find and kill V? Or send some assasin to attack him in a city ? In my logic arasaka should nôt have a problém to even find V apartment and kill him while rehabilitating you know

  15. i absolutely love that Kerry meme! So nova. Im so glad you guys dont mind modding. I was worried that anything i might share with obvious modding would be frowned upon. I seriously have grown quite dependent on having Kerry wandering the world with me.

  16. Not going to lie it seems very hard to take this dude seriously. He just gives us this feeling like he is just faking everything he's doing for views maybe to make money and genuinely to keep the cyberpunk community interested in something that who knows what's going to happen. And the fact that he made a joke about his camera being day one of cyberpunk I don't find any of that shit funny at all these motherfuckers should not even be able to joke about their game being shit that is absolutely pathetic. Y'all need to hold them to hire standards these people are just laughing behind your backs because they got over and everybody who they tricked. No hope in these people I think they're evil honestly
