I Built Arasaka Motorized Helmet (Cyberpunk 2077)

Engineering, cosplay animatronics, new 3D printing techniques… this project really pushed me to my limits – but it’s finally done! After building Oda’s mantis blades, I wanted to complete the entire outfit. I love blending engineering and fashion/cosplay.
His helmet – was such an iconic, challenging piece, and I hope you guys learn something from this video!
A special shout out to CD Projekt Red for creating Cyberpunk 2077, as well as providing me the high resolution assets so I could make such an accurate piece!

  1. Your creations are always to such a high standard that right now I can only aspire to. I appreciate how you show the challenges along the way, with how you solved each one. It helps the rest of us learn and admire your work even more. Gosh I was not ready for the end 🥲 Airlines!

  2. I wonder if you could print the visor in a transparent red PLA or PETG with 100% infill and still retain a similar level of transparency. I did a similar thing for an illuminated Murasama prop from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and it has good light transmission.

  3. Did you try software debouncing the signal coming from the radio controlled relay-thingys?

I have used veeeeery similar looking ones and found that helped.

    Your work is impressive!!!

  4. Not that this was necessarily intended, but I think you're the best person that could "be" in this suit. I mean that in the way that your eyes shine really well with the red glow, in a very ominous way, and I can definitely imagine the character in the game actually looking like you! (When in the whole suit and the gear ofc) I hope this is taken as a compliment! 😅

Overall this is literally a breathtaking work of art, earned a subscriber, keep it up!!!

Edit: Looking back at some of the footage of you taking it to some conventions, It does look like you put in some opaque white eye contacts (I think), and it really gives that ominous effect!
