It should also be mentioned that this boss fight is basically part of the introduction to Phantom Liberty, and depending on how you play, you can experience it in an hour or so of playing the expansion. Just wanna highlight that because Luke talked about the first hour of Shattered Space in another video, and how the hook just isn't there. In Phantom Liberty, just with the introduction, you already get Songbird's intro with Johnny which was badass, opening your world to Dogtown's Stadium market, the plane crash, rescuing Myers, this boss fight, and then the first look at Dogtown itself with all the drones searching for Myers. The hook for this expansion is so good.

  2. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and by extension the whole GitS franchise, is my favourite piece of media ever. Having a whole set piece boss fight that's essentially the swansong of the original movie really made it the best part of 2077 for me.

  3. 23:06 I actually think this gives a great perspective. It's like when you are in a car crash and everything slows down around you. You become hyper aware that something bad is about to happen, and everything moves in slow motion. It kind of gives that feeling of being hung up in a moment where your life flashes before your eyes, not knowing how to escape the danger.

  4. As someone who discovered CDPR with The Witcher 3, way before I ever touched a Bethesda game, it baffles me why Bethesda gets so much praise. CDPR leaves them in the dust and they should really get their shit together.

  5. That boss is such an ordeal that if you say "Remember the boss fight with that bloody robot?" everyone immediately knows which bloody robot you mean, despite there being a billion robots to fight in that game.

  6. As someone who has put faith in this game prior to even release I was so thrown off (in a positive way) with this intro bc I have never expected to have such a fight straight up at the beginning. The Introduction to Dogtown was also done perfectly.

    Its crazy to me that this Expansion is so GOOD almost like a Full Price Game and they gave it us for 30 Bucks.

    Then there is Bethesda and their 30 Buck „Expansions“ or „DLCs“ its such a crazy contrast.

  7. Cyberpunk is meant to be played in VR for a complete experience!! I dunno why they aren't making a official VR patch for it!! I would go in for a complete replay for the 4th time…I don't own a VR headset but I would invest in one just for this game!!! 😅

  8. The reason it was so difficult for cyberpunks cinematics is also because the red engine straight up wasn’t meant for the type of game they wanted to make its a lot like the situation the devs over at xdefiant are going through with their engine

  9. I feel incredibly validated, being that I was the crazy old guy shouting from the rooftops that Cyberpunk was an epic single player RPG from day one. Sure it was a bumpy start, but this is one of the biggest redeptions since No Man's Sky. It went from great and buggy to full-blown masterpiece once Phantom Liberty dropped. Three weeks later and I still remember the entirety of that insane plotline.

    700 hours. That's how much time I put in on my 2nd playthrough when the expansion dropped. Completing everything at a casual pace, and enjoying (almost) every minute. The amount of quality for the price is unbelievable. You better be jacking in if you like open-world singleplayer gaming, choom.

    By the end I was reading the pen-and-paper RPG books to see what info I could glean for solving in-game mysteries, diving into that deep deep-lore. And then I spent $150 to crowdfund the massive boardgame. Legit addiction. Mike Pondsmith and CD Projekt Red for the muthaf*kkin win. Chef's Kiss.

  10. The Chimera Tank is probably my favorite boss in Phantom Liberty tbh (haven’t completed all the endings so I don’t know what other bosses there are). Surviving against a Blackwall Corrupted Giant Spider Mech had no right to go that hard.

  11. so memorable that I did not remembered it until watching the video. Personally I did not really understood this whole sequence that is kind of a 1 stand within the whole expansion, it is a huge spike of difficulty at the start of the DLC that you will NEVER encounter again within the whole DLC. The fight is unique but far too long in my opinion, I was so bored. I think I put the game in story mod at some point just for this fight because the last part was difficult and sooooo long. Really when I remember the extension, this is pretty much the only part that completely skipped my mind.

Now that you talked about this, many Many studios, especially ubisoft, have this problem of just chains and chains of people and teams having to approve something and it would take a thousand years for something to actually get through, and even then, there is still many bugs/problem and "holes" in the content that has gotten approved.
    This, to me at least, is why ac mirage, done by a smaller studio، overall felt like everything is connected and a single complete piece of art,
    and why the main ac games, made by huge main studios, have areas and missions and story sections that just make no sense.

  13. games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Myth Wukong show you how important that hook is. Within the first hour or so, you experience this MASSIVE set piece to set the tone of the game. When games start too slow, alot of people check out early even if it DOES get better. Powerful

  14. Cyberpunk showed me how Bethesda really gives nothing in exchange for your time. The decisions the higher-ups at bgs are just so lazy. I hate how for their supposed magnum opus, starfield, they refused to innovate and continue to use the same engine as oblivion. Bethesda never strives to be more these days. They just strive to continue the status quo.

  15. Phantom Liberty DLC was more than Great DLC.. It showed how much there is a need for SPY-THRILLER bond-like games. & I'm yet to get another Phantom liberty its gonna be a while
    like there are some horror element in Songbird final sequence where i didn't chose in 1st playthrough and when i saw tht Mech hunting me, I was back to alien isolation game member berries lol. And the Techno-political aspect of like final V ending where V lives but no implants gets mugged decked on the street.. God damn I never had a feeling like that. ( of course in real life i did but that was when i started going to gym came to know the value of Martial arts ) making it so real was still bittersweet-bad ending for a character like V. TLDR Phantom liberty was another Edgerunner or even better than it which i didn't expect CDPR to do. Similar to blood & wine or Hearts of Stone. They are yet to give a bad DLC. I want PL 2 than Cyberpunk 2 lol

  16. I went into Phantom Liberty at level 27 during the 2.0+dlc launch and I have only ever played the game on Very Hard. And it took me over an hour to destroy the chimera. I was so underleveled and undergeared for this.
