  1. I bought the base game in the months after its disastrous release during some sale on Steam. It was going for real cheap. I bought it on the gamble expecting CDPR to somehow fix the game down the road despite the usual industry practice of abandoning a title after a terrible release. I didn't really play it until 2.0 / Phantom Liberty came out very recently.

CDPR prior to the game's release had an immaculate reputation in the game community. Guys talked about them like they were walking on water. But this game's release destroyed that immaculate reputation. I give them credit for sticking through the bad release and actually fix the game up. Almost all game companies would cut bait and leave for something else. But I won't leave them fully off the hook for all the false promises and disaster of a launch.

These guys were better off delaying the game a lot longer and releasing in a good state. A good reputation takes a long time to build up but destroying it takes moments. CDPR may have fixed the game up but the good will of before Cyberpunk's release is no longer there and you need to take whatever they say with a grain of salt. Something that should be done for most everything, honestly. Beware of grand promises.

  2. I bought the game few months ago when it went on sale for like 19.99 or 29.99 (can’t remember)but didn’t start playing until couple weeks ago. This game is amazing and might even be my top 3 favorite game of all times

  3. They definitely lied about crowd density and intelligence, but if you go back and watch the tech demo, hacking was drastically improved, driving was improved, and they cut wall running, to further detail and texture the city which I think was an improvement to the flat sterile walls in the demo to allow for running. Also have no issues being locked into 1st. The game would be janky af in 3rd, just like the Witcher would be janky af in first.

  4. After this comeback, i only hope that both the player community and shareholders be much more patient with CDPR for Cyberpunk's sequel, so that we wont have another disastrous launch.

  5. Been a fan since release (played on PS5) and saw the magic from day one. I didn’t experience any serious bugs or issues, besides funny T posing and other inconveniences.
Got back into it after a 2 1/2 year break and I love the game just the same. The DLC is amazing as well. It’s truly amazing how special this game is.

  7. Loved the game when its first released. Played it on my poorly equipped PC (RX 580 4GB + i3 4130k) on release and actually beat it 2 times, second playthrough being after they updated it to 1.60. Now my PC is more than enough, the game changed for the better and people seem to like it.

I don't know whether to believe that the newly accepted recognition this game finally gets is real. Perhaps Starfield enabled this change of view? Perhaps finally CP2077's redemption is finally well deserved? I don't know. Feels just like yesterday when CP2077 is on everyone's target of negative campaign.

  9. So glad I didn’t buy into the hype. I had doubts from the beginning. I waited and now it’s the best game I’ve ever played. Also those promises at the end were never promised by CDProject red. Those ideas were created by the fan base.

  10. I didn't buy it when it first came out because I saw a bad it was on my friends PS4 but since the DLC came out I decided to get it on my ps5 and it's not a bad game. I think they should have never released it on the PS4. My opinion I made it a next gen title only. Well I guess PS5 is current generation now

  11. I will never preorder another game because of CD Project Red's lies. In the end, I deleted the game from my library after just 3 hours "play" and didn't return to it until after Phantom Liberty was released. Now, as I said in a recently updated Steam review, Cyberpunk 2077 is a "bona fide braindance." But I'll never trust another developer again and no matter how enticing pre-order offers are proffered, I wait for post release reviews to make purchase decisions.

  12. Im not sure how bad it was for others, but my game on the PS4 pro crashed…10 times i think? I beat it, i had a good time, i loved it. I cant speak to others experiences, but mine was amazing.

It always confuses me some when i see some of this since my experience was amazing.

  13. Greatest comeback in gaming history—I just wish people would stop acting like the original game was actually great if you didn’t have glitches. There was greatness in there but man it was covered in shit. And now it’s a game on par with maybe even Skyrim.
