From Sea of Thieves and to Rainbow Six Siege and many more, we’ve seen plenty of games coming back from the brink of irrelevancy after terrible launches over the years, and it’s now safe to say that Cyberpunk 2077 has joined that ever-growing list of games as well, especially after the excellent one-two punch of the comprehensive Update 2.0 and the incredible expansion, Phantom Liberty.

And CD Projekt RED, which has been on the receiving end of fair and warranted criticism for nearly three years, now also fully deserves a ton of credit for the effort it has put in to making sure that the action RPG was able to get to this point. Here, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

  1. The game still has idiotic bugs that shouldn't exist even with 2.0. In fact the way is now, it should've been from day one and from here on patched. Today for example, I tried to loot a corpse with no luck, at one point the minimap started to flicker and from no apparent reason I couldn't call my car, and I wasn't on a non spawning area like in GTA V. I had to save and reload to make it work. Trust is expensive these days and I'm not selling mine or give it away to anyone anymore. The gaming industry is so caustic, so undesirable.

  2. I still don’t like this game. The random NPCs walking around the world are still dull and are lacking life, the gameplay is still slow to me, and the world areas are too claustrophobic for me. Yes the story is great, all main characters are fully fleshed out, and there’s multiple ways to take down enemies/missions but that’s not enough for me

  3. After playing the game on launch. I shelved it and didn't come back until 2.0 / Phantom. And boy was I in for a huge surprise.

I honestly wish I had waited to play it until now. Because 2.0 and Phantom has been a lot more enjoyable than the game we got 3 years ago. I've been enjoying it quite a bit.

  4. This is the best comeback story in gaming next to No Man's sky. I'm glad I waited and didn't play more than the prologue during the beta. And now that 2.0 is out I am finally playing through the game and the currently going through the DLC and I am blown away I am so glad I waited!

  5. Cyberpunk just proved even a game dev like CDPR can make a rookie mistake just because of Money… I don't care if it's the execs fault or the devs, they both took part of that disaster and both have accountability.. Hopefully with their move the UE5 they can streamline alot of stuff to avoid those issues in the future..

  6. Hit the nail right on the head. I get the criticism that CDPR got in the last few years considering the game's appalling release and the poor state of the game, but at some point we ALL need to let that go. It's a new day so to speak. If people haven't yet played the 2.0 update or Phantom Liberty, or haven't bought themselves a copy yet of Cyberpunk, do yourself a favour and do it.

  7. Shit has been restored, like any new launch CDPR the game has sucked and will suck. Witcher 3 and cyberpunk both are the best examples, maybe if they move to UE5 then they can have a better game at launch. They have failed to optimise the game by the time it’s launch time on their current game engine

  8. I do agree, they deserve credit for fixing it. But it’s not because they are good people, it’s because they are a publicly traded company. Abandoning it would have destroyed their future potential for the Witcher.

  9. I played it when it first came out. I built my pc around the recommended specs and ran into some game breaking bugs almost immediately.

However i had faith they would fix it up.

Then edgerunners anime came out and it re ignited my interest in the game like never before and i loved it.
Developer Mod support was awesome too!

It really was an epic game all along. It just needed to be ironed out.
I played about 200hours to date. Played through each of the different starting characters and built them like i was roleplaying the characters. Corpo was all tech weapons and netrunning. Streetkid was a samurai with pistols and the outlander class was all tanky and stupid strong.

Im going to do it all over again with these updates. Im already in 12 hours for the streetkid build and i have to say they really did a great job.
Imo. I wouldve waited until this year for them to release the game as it has been released rn. But thats just me i prefer to wait for a complete game no matter how long it takes.

  10. meh, I mean the dlc is good. currently playing it. but I have some gripes. I've seen t posing in gunfights, characters literally phase in and out of existence right in front of me, sometimes I have to press L3 a bunch to run, and lord, don't get me started on what they did to the level up and perk system. honestly it seems like they broke more than they fixed and gave us more story for it… ima still finish it tho.

  11. Yeah the game is running amazing, looks amazing, with the excellent new DLC and all the amazing work CDPR have done to finally deliver the game they promised. BUT.

I still see the game as a waste of time, yes you get really powerful at the end, the new mechanics are truly great, but the big BUT is.
What are you supposed to do in the game when your V is fully maxed out and all the missions have been completed, it’s ok being at end game and all powerful but for what reason, there is nothing left to do in the game.

Where is NG+, do I spend all that time maxing my character just for V to die in the end.
No haven’t started Dog Town yet so if there is a different ending then please no spoilers.
But the issue is still there , what will be left to do in the game.

  12. I will never trust another game company again. I will always wait for the user reviews, maybe wait a few days or weeks after the release of a game to wait for more user reviews and post game patches before I buy a game.
