İf you let So Mi to live, end of credits reed will say:”I’m sorry for you and So Mi. I didn’t give my best for you both.” That’s means Myres bring up to the hell to So Mi for Betray her and made a association with Hansen. Also V lose his every power and who he is 🙁
Sadly, story wise, this is probably the best ending, not only are the the missions more interesting, intense and feel like they actually have some weight/repercussions, they are just plain more fun to play rather than going along with SongBird the whole way. If you side with her, personally, the missions feel more like side gigs than actual story missions.
And this is why you save So Mi.
Because you would do anything to save V. She is your reflection. Suffering and doomed, like V.
But V never had another V to save him, expect the one is his head, Johnny….
This ending is so fucking tragic, I couldn't bear to watch through it, and I spent the whole time hating Songbird as a character, felt like she was always ready to plant the knife in my back, then I realized just how desperate she was, and it fucking hurt.
Helping her not killing her is the best ending. She gets to survive somewhat and we get to be cured as well even though we kinda get to be a nobody…
I couldn't give 2 fucks that she lied to me. This scene broke my heart when I done this ending in my second playthrough. I don't blame her for wanting to be free from being a tool for a corrupt president. They used and abused he. So glad in my first playthrough I sent her to the moon. She deserves her freedom
What some people who truly hate Songbird fail to see is that V and her are in the same boat. But if V fails to find a cure they will just die. Still tragic but still not as cruel as So Mi’s fate if she ends up falling back into Myer’s hands were she will just endure a live of torture wishing that she was dead. She lied to us but I personally understand. She had no one. No Panam, no Rogue, no Johnny, no Alt. It was either risk it all or a fate worse than death.
Killing Songbird is the best ending in the game, unfortunately. Mr.BlueEyes will do 10x worse than the NUSA and giving So Mi to the NUSA is condemning her. Death, ironically, is her only escape.
