You could've just jumped to the balcony above lol. Also, if you speak with him and then read the notes, you find out that what happened to the girl was an accident. Mainly caused by him, but the ones who shot her were from the 6th street gang. If you step into his office you notice that he has a surveillance camera feed from the hospital room, where the girl is recovering on his tv. Although killing him seems to be the more humane thing to do, since he dies either way. There is a choice to knock him out and drop him off in the trunk of a car. It's implied that he will be tortured to death.

i finished this gig and its still in the journal. Cant get rid of it. Very annoying.
This mission glitch out on me. I think i might have caused it though. When I let Gustavo go he told me his people would cause me no harm. So silly me I thought I would just hack their computers for some eddies. They didn't like that and combat ensued. After dropping his crew off to heaven , i realized that the mission would not let me finish it. It told me to leave the apartment when i am miles away from it. Oh well time to redo this mission all over again.
In case elevator is incative you can throw the body from the balcony down to the street. Than you can use elevator and pick up body downstairs.
