Cyberpunk 2077 finally had patch 1.5 launch with massive improvements including adding AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). In this video I test out performance of my RX 6800 XT at 4K and 1440p in Cyberpunk 2077.

UPDATE: Looks like the end of my video testing more 1440p settings got cut off for some reason? Weird. Anyway, hope you liked what was here lol.

  1. So I just watched this back and noticed that somehow the ending of the video got cut off… I'm going to go ahead and leave the video up since the rest of it is still good, but it cut off some of the 1440p testing. Sorry!

  2. I'd say if you have an RX 6000 series card and want to play Cyberpunk 2077 as it's meant to be experienced, just wait until you get an RX 7000 series card which should allow you to crank everything up, including raytracing, without taking as much of a hit to framerate. You probably won't need FSR either.

  3. I'm play on 1080p display and honestly even ultra quality FSR does not look good. THe downgrade over native 1080p is clear specially when moving. I rather lower some setting to improve fps than using FSR

  4. There is a tool on Steam called 'Lossless Scalling" that can add FSR to games that don't have it. I did some comparison between 2077's in game FSR and the software's. The software had slightly superior upscaling. There is a demo but It seems very limited. The software is quite cheap anyway. Well worth it. Especially considering you can use it on most games. I play a heavily modded Witcher 3 with it in ultra wide rez.

  5. I have 17 10700 and rtx 2060. I'm getting 80 fps on ultra settings on 1080p. God of War the same. Would I get 60 fps if I bought a 1440p monitor? ( current monitor is 165hz 1080p monitor. ) thanks for any info.

  6. This is really helpful thanks. I currently have an RX6800 & 5600x. I will wait another generation (or 2) before playing this game. I want everything switched on.

  7. The game is shit simple as

This is when the game should of been released but people wanted the game last gen and look what happend to it

Stop wanting these new games on old consoles your fucking it up for everybody

  8. Personally with my 6800XT I run a 1440p High Preset with RT Reflections and RT Lighting at Medium using FSR Ultra Quality. This gives me ~40-45FPS in a highly crowded area and ~45-50 in some other areas which is kind of the baseline FPS I'd consider playable because just dropping below 40 makes the game feel way less smooth.

Notice: While Shadows and Reflections have pretty different performance impacts when turned on individually(shadows being less impactful) it doesn't really make a difference when you have lighting enabled alongside any of the two. Also adding shadows to my settings would only drop me down another ~5fps.

  9. At launch I had played Cyberpunk 2077 on a base PS4 and actually played through it, despite all the bugs, crashes and incredibly bad performance (and visuals). Now I'll wait until the game is really finished and then play it on PS5 when the PS5 becomes available in the future… someday… maybe.

I've given up PC gaming entirely, the graphics card prices put me off massively.

  10. Yeesh, that’s why I’m waiting on a decent price on a 3090 instead of grabbing a 6900. AMD has great performance, but is abysmal in Ray Tracing. Even my 3070 picks up higher frames with RT at 4k with DLSS being broken AF. I’m really hoping AMD improves RT performance greatly on the next iteration of cards, because I really just love the brand as a whole.

  11. The 1080 tests (my res) were really impressive in terms of performance and looks. I get that youtube does compress the video anyways and it's different playing by yourself, but still very good results.

  12. Nice, 4K gaming is still a joke though. the difference between 4K and 2K is negligible in gaming, and 4K only really makes sense for productivity and huge screens. I can get around 100FPS with FSR in 2077 now, which looks amazingly smooth, which matters for FPS game.

  13. Tip, turn off screen space reflections if you turn on rt reflections and toggle ambient occlusion to low if you turn on rt lighting. Or keep it at medium not high

  14. With my 6900xt I'd just go for 4K High FSR at UQ and call it a day. Pretty much a 4K60 experience. But I won't buy this yet, Cyberpunk2077 is a game I'll play in 2025 with the latest top notch GPU.

  15. Good stuff thanks. I'm playing with 6900 and got similar results 1440p. I decided the 40+ fps with ray tracing is good enough for me (Super Resolution: Balanced).

  16. You guys must be playing with your noses pressed against the monitor because I barely see a difference when I play with FSR Quality mode on and I play with 4k resolution. Lucky me I guess lol
