  1. 14:20 I like the idea with double load system,it is true if that gun can shot two ammo, will be so cooooooooooooooooool.
unfortunately game designer dont have resource to do so or didn't realize that possibility.

  2. Metel is by far my favorite gun in the game other than johnnys. It looks straight out of blade runner. And there definitely are alternative versions with different ammo. I think its "charging" the bullets? Making adding the charge to make them explosive? So that the bullets arent as "hot" or ready to explode until they are IN the chamber snd ready to fire.

Reducing the risk of the highly explosive rounds from going off in your pocket? Given how much tech is going on around you and how you could possibly set them off on someone elses person remotely?

  3. Something interesting to add to the "holywood knockback" vs "recoil knockback" discussion: For firearms which operate on compressed gas (be that pre-compressed gas or gas created by combusting a charge), the recoil energy imparted to the shooter will always be significantly greater than the knockback energy imparted to the target, because much of the energy of the propelling charge becomes muzzle blast and does not go into the bullet.

so, if the bullet knocks the victim back 5 feet, firing the gun should knock the shooter back 7-10 feet.

  4. IIRC the sniper's mount was what was silencing it as when you use it unmounted it isnt silenced anymore (and it would make sense that silencing a non powder weapon would be weird so it used a big contraption for it)

  5. The third firearm is based on the Barret M82A2, which was designed to be used against aircraft. You knelt down on one knee or braced yourself against something so the recoil wouldn't knock you over, pushed the pad behind the mag well into your shoulder while gripping the front grip and aiming; then opened fire on the targeted aircraft. You would use specialty rounds to make it more effective. This version of the M82 only got a couple of prototype guns made, and Brandon Herrera managed to score himself one…

  6. I think when it comes to tech weapons, due to the fact they're more akin to rail guns. The magazines might be a little smaller, because they could be caseless in the sense they just need to be any magnetic metal charged and fired at high speed.

  7. i love these videos because while he does comment on weather they could be functional when it's relevant most of the commentary is on how cool they are and how they do function in game compared to real firearms.

  8. Some game studios need to just hire this guy and let his imagination go wild. I know he loves the armory but even just a short term consultation gig would be super neat to see where it went. I can't even imagine what kind of plausible yet really cool stuff he can slap together in collaboration with some game devs.

  9. The starting shotgun is just a unique version of a shotgun that's already in the game. If you look at the discription for the Sagata, it tells you what the electro-stuff is for and (theoretically) how it works.

  10. @Jonathan, all the 'electric' type weapons in this video are 'tech weapons' in-game, meaning that they function via electromagnetics. Like railguns or coilguns.
Single-shot electromag weapons charge up to shoot through walls, but anything like an smg or assault-rifle is single-shot when uncharged, and full-auto/burst-fire when charged.

Not sure how that's supposed to work, but that's how it is.

  11. Hey! I can actually add something here. The reason double barrel shotguns are still in use is actually because of nomads, the nomad clans use a lot of older weapons because they're more rugged and easier to service. They're also known to use bows and crossbows mad max style.

  12. 10:26 for me this is their homage to the USP from Metal Gear Solid, because the mission you're taking it on is basically that too (at least it immediately reminded me of the first area of MGS1)
