From me to you, don’t watch edgerunners unless you’re really down for some heartache. But then again, that goes for Cyberpunk 2077 as well… so idk do what you want but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Join me for a glimpse at a possible edgerunners location beyond Night City’s borders.

Approve of the phrase "Borg'd out". Will use it whenever someone wears Apple Vision.
Perhaps the excessive lanes that you mentioned is a stylistic choice to show that no matter the lane or path you take in life. It ends the same.
I don't think it was an actual place in the world. It was more of a psychological concept like Maine could have taken many roads in his life (given how many lanes are shown), but his journey would end there (at the road's end) with him having hit his limit physically and mentally. If anything, it was subtle foreshadowing for David and V (in certain endings).
Recently replayed GTA V, just to experience the closest thing to a bigger “North Oaks” dlc, since that was unconfirmed canceled. Night City might have a golf course and more North Oak mansions (plus Casino) when we return for Cyberpunk 2. But till then I think taking a break from Cyberpunk, spent like a 1000 hours last year.
Funny how few show's based on games respect the source material, the one that's seen as amazing respects it so much it uses out of bounds assets!
if you go out of bounds and zoom in towards the city with just regular optics, the visual gets really similar to what the show has as his pov
You should do a second cyberstuck episode ! Climbing down a tower or something
honestly with how many locations in the anime are ripped straight out of the game, I don't think it's impossible they had access to some free roam tools, stumbled onto this and used it as inspiration for that flashback sequence. kinda impossible to know without asking the staff at Trigger directly but hey, I enjoy seeing random weird things out of bounds regardless. I could definitely explore myself with mods but I'm a bit too lazy for that and you do such a great job with it I really have not found myself feeling the need to do it.
Hope the trip is going good, thanks a ton for all the content you prepped for us in advance!
shows how much love the edge runner directors loved the game and the world building.
Dude, this was cool AF.
I think you are right, Also, flashbacks have distorted imagery and exeggeration, so it makes sense to see more lanes than was actually there. Speaking of locations, do you know the location of Alt's kidnapping 50 years before Cyberpunk 2077, so in 2027, the alley, that was in Night city yeah?
Location was on another game. Killer 7..
Have you found Rebecca's shotgun, Guts, at Arasaka Plaza yet?
So uplifting!
i definately think this is some gonk shit… a real strech on this one… but its not imposible that they took some insperation from this and other places where the road just ends
Im curious if anyone has found the out of bounds location where those holo calls occur. It would be cool finding those and seeing a call take place in realtime
Back when the anime first came out I went looking for the area where Lucy and David hung out late in the show out in the badlands. Interestingly enough the area that matched the most was right off the side near the broken bridge west from the Desert Film Set waypoint in Rocky Ridge, Badlands. There on the table is a poem (Death of a Mercenary, author unknown) that has a lot of emotional parallels to Lucy's story and potentially how she felt after the end of the show. I know this shard can be found in other places but I would like to think that the people who wrote the show came across this shard in this spot and were inspired by it when writing David and Lucy's story's ending. I think its pretty cool that it might have been their hangout away from the city.
Even though I could probablyfreefly around NC myself, I really enjoy your videos! Keep it up until there's nothing to talk abount NC anymore.
