Siding with Meredith is the right choice, since the guy is heavily implied to be the mole
If any1 is wondering about dialogue options to tell Stout about the mole, u gotta be a Nomad.
U get unique dialogue when first talking to her and then after u leave the factory she declines an offer u made but during that u can tell her about the mole. No clue if it adds or changes anything. You can also confront Gilchrest as well if u betray stout.

I just used the Body dialogue and knocked Royce out, I was still confronted with Gilchrist when I walked out, does finding the e-mails or hacking the chip change any of that?
Helping meredith should be the canon choice it turns out anthony was the mole after all if you look on one of the computers in all foods.
Plus i really think meredith should be expanded upon as corp the corps perspective arnt fleshed out much.

That's interesting. What's even more interesting is that you later find out that Adam Smasher was blackmailing Gilchrist and holding someone hostage to do so. I think there were supposed to be a whole lot more angles to this thing and the they just never got fully fleshed out.
I'd love some more militech content involving Stout tbh – I felt like she should have so much more prominence akin to Judy's and Panam's length of side quests vs seeing her one time.

both meredith and gilchrist (in a way) makes use of V tho, the cred chip Meredith gives V has virus in it, if you use it the maelstrom finds out and you get into a fight with them. Gilchrist doesnt tell his militech raid team to check their fire becoz he hopes that V would die in the confusion
Side with Stout for the gigantic vibrator melee weapon you get after meeting with her in the No-Tell motel.
It's funny that people debate who the better choice is, when in fact every time you chose between which faction to both factions try to chalk you up in the collateral damage category. There are no good or right choices in Night City, only least bad ones or those you can walk away from in the end because everyone is rotten.
I didn't even realise there was an option to go against Stout XD I always shot Royce in all of my playthroughs (currently on the third))

I remember screwing Meredith over and siding with Royse and Dum-Dum! Later on, when I was gathering Johnny's bandmates, I saw both Royce and Dum-Dum alive and well in the club! It was so fun to see them again 😀
You can also find your old boss niche in the cemetery if you play as Corpo V too

Personally, I sided with Meredith at first, took her credit card, removed the virus, kept the money, killed Royce, freed Brick, had Meredith thank me, replied to her text that I wanted to see her ink, got laid in the No-Tell Motel, gained the most hilarious weapon of the game, and cheesed the quest with Nancy/Bes-Isis in Totentanz by having Brick owe me.
