Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is just around the corner, and it’s bringing a long-awaited overhaul to the police system in Night City. In the base game, the police are notoriously ineffective, but Phantom Liberty will change all that.

For one, the police will now patrol the streets in vehicles, just like in other open-world action-adventure games. They’ll also chase after perpetrators and engage in shootouts in a dynamic way, depending on the severity of the crime.

Players can get a taste of what’s to come in Phantom Liberty by visiting this area in Santo Domingo. Here, they can witness a scripted event of a car chase and a shootout between the police and some gang members.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.
