SPOILER ALERT for main story mission involving Takemura I guess?

This is a video showcasing the really cool voice replacement mod for Female V created by Xerxes99 on Nexus Mods. I do not endorse using AI as an alternative to real creative talents, but as a tool to create fun things like this.

  1. Hope you all enjoy the video, for main subs of the channel this will most likely be unlisted soon. This is simply for me to host the video to Nexus.

If you enjoy this kind of content then maybe I will post more haha.

  2. It sounds really on point, but I feel like it lacks emotion. The original voice actress for V did a great job of really putting her heart into it and expressing all the confused emotions she was feeling, but the AI just didnt capture that

  3. You cannot steal someone's voice. You do not own a characters voice. If that were the case then voice acting would become a living nightmare. Obviously you cannot impersonate anyone, which would be identity theft, but training a person or AI to generate their voice appears entirely reasonable.

No idea what this means for the future of voice acting, but can't stop technology from advancing. If you assign ownership to voices, then suddenly you live in a world where corporations will own and resell voices, which is worse as a lot of people have similar voices, so someone might one day end up owning your voice, just because you produce similar soundwaves to some other famous person.

  4. As someone who had almost 900 hours in the game, it was nice to change the voice to get a new feeling of the game. The only time the voice ruined the game for me was mainly during the end of the big heist with Jackie. Kept sounding like a robot who just reached puberty.
