  1. Loved seeing you being captivated by this quest, it's really mind-boggling, ain't it? Made me wonder if Peralez name is supposed to sound like "paralysis", since they are both in a helpless state, they can't really do anything against this terrifying unseen enemy.
Still worth a try to resist of course, better than complying and becoming a puppet if you ask me.
Also loved Johnny's comments throughout the mission, who knows, maybe he is right and some rogue AI's is behind all of this. Seeking the way to control humanity as they see fit.

  2. Dream On is easily one of the S Tier missions in Cyberpunk, so much mystery and build up and it completely flips your perspective on things.

One neat thing about the "Unknown Caller" situation is that it plays the same glitch animation when V experiences the Blackwall with the VDBs. Makes you think if the people behind the whole brainwashing situation are actual people or rogue AI manipulating people in higher positions.

  3. Time for my favorite vanilla quest!
There's some creepy details going on in Dream On that are difficult to spot on a first playthrough. A cloaked AV taking the people in the van away from the Maelstrom ambush (you can actually intercept and subdue them, something different happens). A creepy blue-eyed dude watching from an opposing balcony during the final meet with Jefferson. There's a bunch of clues and subtle links to this quest scattered throughout this game, I hope you'll spot some of them.
I also love how helpless it makes you feel. Cyberpunk's world is just deeply unfixable by any one person and every layer of society is infiltrated and corrupted. There's nothing V can really do here.

  4. Just speculating here cuz I don't actually know, but when I saw Maelstrom covering the truck I immediately remembered Gary's quest, where the gang had a secret meeting with someone. Seems to me like the same org could be behind it all. Or the truck just happened to lead us there and Maelstrom was being Maelstrom

  5. Mapo back at it with another banger of an episode. What i want to know is though… since WHEN can you hurt stefan???? Is this new from a patch? do you gotta let him go first? The game will literally not let me and its infuriating >:(

  6. Notice a mysterious Mr. Blue Eyes watching you guys from the distance at 1:26:22 . He is deeply rooted in the mysteries of cyberpunk 2077 and becomes important later as well. He also has connections to the Quest with Garry the Prophet.

  7. By the way, I'm just curious are you reading these comments, like from your Patreon Subscribers. Because I noticed a little bit that you seem to be answering, or interacting more with comments criticizing your videos than with positive comments.

  8. 1:40:00 Didn't you like, unlock the ability to, like, block bullets with your mantis plates too? Works actually better than you'd think, and it's really damn useful because otherwise, you know you're just so vulnerable with the mantis blades, but with bullet blocking you can almost kill enemies just from blocking and reflecting bullets. It's so awesome.

  9. I think Deam On is the best mission in this game that truly let's you realize just how different and advanced this world can be. And scary. But it does it in such a subtle and nuanced way. Man this quest alone is better than the narrative of some games.

  10. 33:40 – I don't think that's the correct assumption. The Omaha is firing solid metal projectiles, so they're still making bullet holes. It's simply that it's a electromagnetically powered gun, rather than gunpowder-based. There's nothing about those holes that indicates the propellant.
1:32:00 – It didn't "change with Edgerunners". This entire skill system was added after Edgerunners, in 2.0. Completely different to the 1.0 version.

  11. I love this quest, it gives me X-Files vibes. This case is also somehow tied to prologue quest with saving Sandra Dorsett and her following quest in game, she found some compromiting material on NIGHT CORP., I guess that's why she was targeted for elimination by Scavengers. Also I guess mayor Ryan's killer was brainwashed by same techonlogy, so it must be some NIGHT CORP. hidden operations. And you completelely lost it – but in meeting place with Peralez there's balcony on some distance, if you'll use your zoom you can see the strange man called Mr. Blue Eyes in your scanner, he's cleraly watching for your conversation. AND this is not only one place where you can met this dude, he's clearly up onto something high-level sh*it.

  12. A mysterious group trying to control the minds of politicians? Getting protection from Maelstrom during an attempted escape? And if you had a look at the mysterious man across from your last meeting with Jefferson, blue eyes…. Was Garry the Prophet truly crazy? Are AI controlling things from beyond the blackwall using human puppets? 🤔

EDIT: If you drop the guys trying to escape while using Maelstrom as cover, one of them has an encrypted shard.

  13. Oh by the way, I've seen multiple American campaign ads on youtube where politicians up for reelection or trying to get elected shoot stacks of legislature. Maybe the creators of Cyberpunk didn't realize that things were already that ridiculous in the states with campaign ads?😆

  14. Just an FYI, you picked up a shard from one of the Maelstrom goons you took down. Would recommend giving it a read for more info on the connection between Maelstrom and SSI.

  15. I think the Corpo path has a few inconsistencies in the dialogue, most of the lines seem to be written with Street kid in mind, which is a shame, a couple of alternate lines would've helped with immersion a bit.

Hopefully, in the next game they can cover their bases and make lifepaths more impactful.

  16. Maelstrom worships a rouge AI they call 'Lilith'. Do you remember a cyberpsycho incident about a ganger going psycho during one of their rituals? If rouge AIs are behind this mind-control conspiracy, it would make sense that they were defending the van and 'Lilith' is part of the whole thing
