  1. I think you're not far from the truth regarding Evelyn's selection of Dexter DeShawn.
He is, essentially, the most green fixer in Night City.

Whatever network of contacts and people he had before his hiatus was left to rot because of his failure to keep them secure; this means that he would be desperate for money and reputation. While Evelyn tries to assure V that Dex is the best fixer in town, she clearly wouldn't believe it.
"Best fixer in town. Found exactly who I needed, faster than the rest."
    This implies two things:
    A) DeShawn jumped to the front of the line, seeing this as an 'easy win' to earn money and more importantly his reputation back by successfully bagging a larger job, instead of landing several smaller gigs over time.
    B) Other fixers (like Rogue) caught wind of this plan, and refused to participate in it, because information was sparce, or the requirements for the contract stinks like synthetic fish left on the radiator.

The problem on top of that is that Dexter DeShawn's competence of a fixer has further diminished, as he chooses to NOT visit Evelyn Parker with V to formulate a better grasp of the heist, or procuring the Militech prototype Flathead bot, a crucial piece of equipment needed for this heist to work as planned. While he paid for it before Royce created a mutiny in Maelstrom, it is still Dex's task to make sure his hired mercs acquires this piece of equipment.
Instead, he has them do his work for him, without financial aid, or provided backup.

Thank you for sharing your insights on the heist. 😁🤖

  2. I appreciate you looking into details that the rest of us just pass on by, like the computer, and the conversations. You even get a convo upstairs between the two russians, and I think later on those same two are part of a mission in their apartment, where you have to steal something from them.

The more I play the game, the more impressed I am with so many things being tied together.

  3. Ok, Ill share with you my synopsis of the plot require the understandin of 3 things.
Firstly you have to consider how old Saburo is, he was born before WWII so he is over 150 years old by the time of the heist.
Secondly has a problem in that he does not trust his son to take his company in the direction he wants after he passes and that is almost all Saburo cares about.- so how do you solve that problem in a society where women traditionally do not inherit those rights.
Lastly, why develop the relic into this prototype which transfers a consciousness on to a "neurally indifferent" body (as discribed by Helman).

So here is my best guess as to what Saburo's play is and its an untestable theory of mine. Saburo wants to take over Yorinobu's body, but does not want to seem to be involved- and the best way i can think of not being seen as your sons murderer is to already be dead when he is killed. Why now maybe Saburo is dying of something like brain cancer and so it cant be fixed by cyberware to extend his life. So its a high stakes game which means taking risks where the payout is worth it….and if people dont know Yorinobu has been wiped by the biochip technology and he has already inherited the company no questions would be asked and Saburo survives to run his company in his sons body.

So think Yorinobu has been set up, Saburo has "allowed" Yorinobu to know about the biochip and "allows him to steal it. All he has to do now is provoke Yorinobu in to murdering him whilst having a seperate plan for someone to carfully "wipe" Yorinobu and then take the body to Mikoshi to implant the saved copy of Saburos engram we know is in there.
The problem is no plan survives contact with outside forces and the experimental biochip is stolen (not in the Saburo plan), so the engram in Makoshi lets Hanako know the Saburo plan and she is trying to hire the people who have to bring it back regardless as to the cost – which explains "The Devil" ending.

  4. brilliant video yet again! random note but hearing 'because Anders Hellman SNITCHED' was a lot funnier than it should have been 😂 and indeed – incredible job on noticing the details. never suspected that Ev stalling on that screen had anything more to it but damn. exactly why i love this game so much, it just keeps on giving <3

  5. I can’t believe in all my play throughs I never saw Saburo’s diary. For me it throws into sharp relief just how terrified Saburo was of Johnny Silverhand if he was willing to completely destroy Night City rather than allowing his engram to be in the wild, so in a way Yorinobu also saved V’s life by offing Saburo.

  6. 6:00 Another reason she chose Dex is that anybody who was a legit fixer would have asked for money up front, rogue didnt agree to find Helman without $ up front, but Dex is a known loser who had to skip town (meaning he didn't plan well and the fact he booked a space shuttle to bug out shows he had no confidence the plan would work out. He also knew he would have to wait for a payout but didn't force Evie to tell him who as in WHO had that kind of capital and would pay for the Relic (obviously a Corp)?

  7. I never knew there so many details I didn't notice, buy you did! I have never had my V read any of the messages on the computer screen in Yorinobu's hotel room, because he is coming in that moment, and I never thought to do it. I always want to get my V and Jack out of there, so they hide in that compartment thing behind the TV. I never have my V listen in on NPCs conversations, I have my V and Jack go to their hotel room. You really did well finding all these little details that are there!

  8. Alas I liked the content of the video and the delivery, you would definitely benefit from cleaning your audio recording. Your voice booms so much I thought discord was echoing.

  9. Tbh CDPR's need to explain how Saburo knew about the relic being missing is one thing that's just not important. I'm still happy it's an included detail but seriously, think about it.

How did one of the most powerful people on the entire planet know that one of the most important things in his entire life was missing when it was specifically left in one, easily guarded and easily watched, area in a world full of employees that would literally die for the corp let alone just literally fucking look at a box once in a while and giving Saburo a call if it gets opened 😂

  10. She picked Dex because of this line when you first meet her.

Evelyn: "I've heard there are two kinds of fixers. Those with stable crews on long contracts and short leashes. Loyalty and predictability they value above all else then there's the other kind – Dex's kind."
    V: "C'mon, can't leave that hanging."
Evelyn: "Headhunters. They lay their trust elsewhere, not in people but in a thing – their intuition. They bet on potential. And if they lose that bet… It's the last mistake they ever make. I'm hoping Dex's intuition has served him well in this case."

She knows you are a nobody to Dex and he's no one to you. It's why she wants to be sure of that and asks you how long you have known him. It is why she feels comfortable asking you to screw him over. She also is looking for a disposable merc, a long-time fixer and merc relationship might get her killed if her plans go south because the fixer lost an asset. Dex won't care if you die as long as he gets paid.
