  1. At about 26:00 you say something about how there’s no known reason why the world ended up that way after 2 years so I think you weren’t paying close enough attention to what was being said on the radio or what was happening outside or what delamain tells you on the way to Vic’s.

When you do phantom liberty you never go after arasaka completely. In the base game you attack arasaka either with takemura and then hanako ends up using soul killer to put saburo into yorinobu’s body which has the absolute opposite effect V and Johnny wanted OR takemura and hanako try to confront yorinobu and he kills them at the board room meeting (where you would go in rogues ending or takemura’s ending as well) and yorinobu continues to keep control of arasaka.

Yorinobu actually hates arasaka as much as Johnny silver hand which is why yorinobu had Johnnys engram. So if yorinobu stays in control, arasaka basically gets reduced to nothing.

If you give Johnny V’s body you can listen to a news report that talks about arasaka going into “negotiations” with militech but never go into detail about it. The kid Johnny’s with just says his dad told him there was going to be another corpo war and Johnny says there won’t be. We don’t know what happens after that as Johnny no longer cares about arasaka.

Now I finally come to what you mentioned – if you choose reed’s ending and lose all of your abilities and basically get forced into being a normal person, the world is all messed up. if you listen to the radio when delamain turns it on on the way to Vic’s office it clearly says that yorinobu pulled arasaka out of night city and is basically trying to destroy arasaka from within which was ALWAYS his goal from the start of the game (V was the reason he COULDNT do it in the start but in reed’s ending he finally does destroy it)
But it turns out the world is not only NOT better without arasaka, it’s actually WORSE. Because now militech is in power. There’s tons of trash and homeless, militech mechs walking the street (you have to actually go through the whole car ride and not skip it and look out the window to see it) posters about militech replaced lots of the advertisements, etc. and also because arasaka is gone it allowed OTHER corpos to become a lot more powerful – namely one – ZETATECH which now owns Vic’s office and vic himself. And Vic does explain this a bit. They didn’t really give him much of a choice.
That’s why he has that sterile cyberware office/store where Misty’s was and why that zetatech karen merc comes in demanding service. That’s why misty left.

So anyway basically when I hear people say stuff like what you said it kinda irks me because you took all of this time to make a video only to say that you didn’t even listen to the dialogue or radio or look out the damn window. These aren’t vague concepts. I’ll assume you didn’t watch or listen to any of the other things said on the tv or radio… highly suggest you do because it gives a lot of insight into the world and what is happening and what has happened.
