  1. Idk why anyone takes Jeff Grubb as seriously as they do. He has been wrong multiple times. I don’t like Schreier either, but at least he’s been spot on every time. Between the 2 of em, I’d take Little Jason’s word over Jeff’s any time.

  2. I 100% completed Cyberpunk 2077, and as good as some of it was, it felt undercooked. I’m fortunate at release I barely had any issues. PS5 version was great at launch. You can see where they canned stuff for time constraints.

  3. Jaffe there’s a few things you’re ignoring.

Everyone including CDPR threw shade at Deus Ex claiming Cyberpunk was gonna kill it, get Mankind Divided was significantly better than anything Cyberpunk could do. It’s world is smaller, but nearly every building can be entered and every quest had several ways to complete them.
Cyberpunk already failed to live up to Deus Ex and it’s time people realized that

  4. I miss Deus Ex, and Im glad that they're finally be able to make a new one. I love GOTG the game, but that felt so limiting, I really felt like Eidos Montreal was held back on some aspects of it (like the almost inconsequential dialogue choices).

  5. I know you played a little of cyberpunk 2077, but I recently just played it and my god what amazing stories and main missions and side missions. I don't think it gets the credit it deserves. That comment shows he didn't play it, it's teuly a masterpiece in story telling and mission design.

  6. I love the Deus Ex games (I also loved Cyberpunk 2077, probably because I played it on PC) but Eidos Montreal is delusional if they think they can deliver what CDPR promised.

  7. Uh. The world of cyberpunk games is already very small so there is no need to compete with each other: Just make cyberpunk games. In fact I bet this entire article is based on BS for clicks if you think about it logically simply because there is no need to compete with each other because not everyone and their mama is making cyberpunk games, for the last 3 years how many cyberpunk games came out ? What 4 maybe ? 1 triple A and the rest indie games ? Lol. I am glad those games are here don't get me wrong but this also means this market is wiiiiiiide open for more cyberpunk games without competition worries AT ALL.

  8. Honestly thought Deus Ex HR was incredibly over rated. It was ugly, with bad voice acting set in bland locations. The game bragged "player choice" which boiled down to taking the stairs or hacking elevator doors. Really don't understand the love for this game.

  9. This industry and hobby really is FXCKED if people are STILL giving Cyberpunk a pass…
Jesus Christ, they lied to your face, spit on you when your down and you're still like "ahhh it's alright, it's kinda immersive and fun if you ignore everything and don't look too hard"…
    are you KIDDING??

  10. Cyberpunk and "immersive" don't go together. It's a shame to even call the gam an open world, it's just a linear game with a big set piece with nothing to do in it. It's far from a living breathing world. Graphics don't have much to do with immersion. It's hard to find anything good about cyberpunk. Ig the soundtrack, the visuals and architecture of night city are great, other than that, it's a dumpster fire.

  11. Even oryginal deusex is worse than cyberpunk 2007 dont even mention this new instalments. One bigger mision in cyberpunk is more complicated to develop than one of new deus exes all game.

  12. It's easy to dunk on infamous products. Anyone can do it. It's another thing to show & proof it that they can make a superior product. I mean I can't say anything good much with their last 2 games (SoTTR & MGoTG), it's simply oke-ish games. Hell, I would argue that SoTTR is an inferior game than Crystal Dynamics's RoTTR.

  13. Played Cyberpunk on Series X after the patch. Have no idea how anyone is still defending this game. The driving was bafflingly horrible (like driving a rubber sponge), there was no incentive to exploration because all the quests just get put in your quest log, dialogue is basically meaningless…anyways just had to say it as a big CD Projekt RED fan.

  14. While I enjoyed Cyberpunk it didn't feel like an RPG to me. It felt like an open world fps with rpg elements that made no sense. Deus Ex has a bit more openess in finding creative solutions to problems as well as combat. You could totally choose to get out of fights by sneaking, conversation, etc.

I felt in Cyberpunk I was always forced into combat. Yeah I could stealth my way through, but I still felt i was meant to start blasting or hacking once I got to the objective and had to get out.

I think what I want out of these two worlds is the same. Creative liberty to handle something multiple ways and a sense of immersion where it feels as though I lived in another world briefly. 2077 never gave me either. Maybe it should have been smaller in scale. 1/3rd of that map densely populated would have been great.

  15. I'm excited I think Eidos could do what CD project red couldn't do so happy Square Enix sold them if you have ever played the Deus ex games you will realize the gameplay is just way more detailed way more fitting for a cyberpunk universe

  16. Holy shit, what a load of bullshit with that intro. Nothing in Cyberpunk is "immersive", the world is shallow as fuck. You people get swayed way too easily by Graphics. No police wanted system, they appear behind you when you commit a crime, Pedestrian AI is brain dead, same as the vehicle AI. Cyberpunk can't even do shit that GTA3 did in the early 2000s. Don't even get me started on how fucking weak of an "RPG" this game is. They had the Tabletop lore to create one of the best RPGs in last decade and they decided on a action adventure/Far Cry Looter shooter. What a bunch of morons.

  17. Cyberpunk was amazing, I just wish side quests had more depth too them outside of a few really good ones. But it seems as though I'll be getting my wish with one of the future updates. I'm excited for a reason to go back to Night City. I'm also excited to see what Eidos does with the next Deus Ex, because those games are fantastic as well. Competition is good for creativity. I hope we all win in the end.
