A lot of people insisted that the memory_pool_allocation CSV actually did something and insisted we retest everything for this change, but fortunately, CDPR saved us all the time and said that this file wasnโ€™t connected to anything. As usual, you must exercise control and care when benchmarking components, otherwise itโ€™s easy to be misled by bad data. In the case of the CPU Hex Edit, there are benefits in some cases, but not to the degree most of the internet seemed to expect โ€” it doesnโ€™t universally benefit Ryzen, just some of the lower-end Ryzen CPUs on CPU-bound settings. The new 1.05 patch also adds this SMT balancing to CPUs at 6 cores and fewer. Either way, these benchmarks update the numbers for the 3300X and 5600X. The 5900X will be unchanged, as are the Intel CPUs.

  1. FYI, we want to rerun all the CPUs on these newer patches now that they're getting more stable, but for now, we're just starting with the 3300X and 5600X to establish that the patch works. We're going to let the game develop more before retesting everything else (AMD Zen 2 & Intel included).

  2. One question. After the update my utilization went up (80%) for my ryzen 5 1400 but… My graphics card (gtx 1060) is like at 20-30%. Why's that? If cdpr fix this or me if it's my problem can I get better performance?

  3. Anyone have any idea why no matter what I do with settings or resolution I can only get 60% GPU usage max and 50% CPU usage (using MSI to monitor usage and fps etc.)? This results in 25 fps on 1080p low and the same 25 fps 1440p ultra. I'm on a AMD 5600x, zotac gtx 1770 (cant get my hands on a 3080 yet), samsung evo 2 tb ssd, latest amd chipset day game ready nvidia drivers, 1.05 update windows updated to current. Have run DDU tried hex edit and removed it after no gain. Uninstalled game and reinstalled. I have no idea what else to do. Tried everything in settings including cas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  4. I'm playing with R5 3600, RX 5700XT Pulse and 16GB of 2667Mhz DDR4 RAM installed on an SSD.
On Ultra Settings with High Crowd Density I had 15fps.
On Ultra Settings with Medium Crowd Density I had 40-70fps.
Post 1.05 patch I can set Crowd to High Density as well and run at 25-50fps.
So here's my two cents about how the patch affected my performance.

  5. is it just me or is anyone else getting weird popping and cracking in the audio? It's not very loud, but I notice it every now and then? Like mic clipping? Noticing it a lot around the 16 min mark

  6. At one point can we all agree, this unfinished piece of software is not optimized on both the cpu and gpu front in any professional or polished way as we are accustomed to from basically any other developer?

I know the benchmarks make for great content for a youtube channel. But there's no way anyone at this point should call this game anything even remotely closed to "finished and debugged gold master duplication build". This level of broken wouldn't be ok from ANY other developer. EA and Blizzard included. We need to remember that and if you haven't bought Cyberpunk yet. You simply shouldn't. That's coming from someone that has been playing the pen and paper cyberpunk for over a decade.

This game is probably really good. But it's not finished. Honestly you shouldn't even play it now if you did. You'll find it's going to take them at least 6 months to get this level of unoptimized and debugged code reduced enough to where it feels like a finished game.

  7. I was seeing inconsistent gains from HEX edit with my 5600X and FTW3 3080 but I'm glad you've explained it by pointing to CPU bound instances.

In one location I managed to get a huge boost, going from ~45 FPS to 60 FPS. If you leave Misty's shop by the front door and go left there's a plaza. At the leftmost edge is Tom's Diner. if you stand at the diner's front door and look out at the marketplace, that scene has some of the highest consistent CPU load in the game due to the crowds. I got a 15 FPS boost at 1440p, max everything (including psycho RTX) and Quality DLSS and max FOV and max crowd size.

  8. i have still problem on 1.05 with 3600x and 5700xt….on city the fkin gpu drop to 70 80% usage and cpu go up around the same numbers. WTF they doing? Totally retarded devs. I will try to fix with this HEX, i hope….

  9. Does anyone experience that the games performance varies every time you start the game? Sometimes i notice bugs and strange things, sometimes they are gone next time i start the game. Even done the same things with new games. I saved an NPCs from tigers, and the NPC thanked me lol. First time ever that happened almost 2 weeks after release.

  10. Performance for me on 8700K and 1080Ti went down for sure. Not certain who to believe, but that memory file worked for me. Now I get stuttering and lower frames at points. Meh.

  11. 1.05 is awful
They cut traffic and pederastians most places are empty.
They do something that cause more stuff to filicker, textures pop in pop out when you just move camera the daylight is so bright thats almost white in the middle of day.

assuming you have a good enough GPU
    cries in GTX 1070 ……….
yep I swear this game is demanding enough even 1080p low doesn't quite hit 60 fps last remembering
or maybe that was 1440p, got a new monitor anyway, so 1080p looks kinda bad on a 4K display compared to say, 1440p on 4K

  13. Hey GN can you do some testing for why XMP profile in the bios is crashing some games AC Valhalla and CyberPunk 2077 to mention a couple. My build is an AMD 3900XT 32gb Gskill Trident Z Neo F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC memory kit And AMD Vega 64 ASRock phantom gaming reference Card all on a ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3. Please help I have searched everywhere and can't find any info anywhere nothing overclocked. I know you can't actually build my scenario but why can't I run XMP profile to get my registered mem clocks? what can I do my bios is also the latest release. I just want to know why XMP is causing games to crash.

  14. Nothing's getting more stable in this game as they patch other than bugged missions being fixed and save corruption being fixed. The biggest performance issue is there's still piss poor CPU and GPU Usage issues all throughout the game. More often than not, at least 30% of GPU usage is being left on the table on my Strix 3090 across the entire game, sometimes more. And in most places, much of the CPU utilization is being left on the table too. It varies in every town in the city and sometimes per spot in each neighborhood. That's why you're seeing so much variance. I've seen CPU usage dips as low as 6% total usage and seen FPS correspondingly drop to like 35 when I usually get 60-70 Ultra – Raytracing @ 3840×1600 in a good spot and that's at 67-70% GPU usage. In a good area of the city, the game will use 40-67% CPU on my 5950X. So dropping to 6% or 16% in a demanding scene is way worse than it should be doing. It likely causes an immediate bottleneck.

There's too many newbs working at CDPR now who're proving to be dumpster-tier at their jobs. Think I heard only like 50 of the original Cyberpunk people who started the project 8 years ago remained. Many of them were switched out. At least 400+ new people were brought in years into the project's conception and groundwork. This is what happens when you get a influx of current gen workers to join a project and they're more concerned with what's between a character's legs or how they look rather than making a good game (Their management is to blame for this too.) I'm glad their stock is tanking and they're likely going to get sued. They deserve it. It's about time these shitty devs in the gaming industry start getting punished for their stupidity and incompetence.

  15. Excellent Video @Gamers Nexus. Honestly in my opinion the individual who posted the original hex edit thread did a great job in finding the quick fix issue. Stuff like this makes gaming companies address consumer concerns. That 20% + boost is huge for the 3300X.

  16. Litterarely imagine some random kid for whatever reason (let's say fustration) draw some random lines across the paper nearly identical to those cpu cores utilizations on the unmodded cyberpunk 2077. Crazy to think about it.
