I want more aspects of the TTRPG to the game.
1. Dual wield pistols, pistol and sword, two swords
2. More gangs and corps (the bozos) and being able to join to get quest line
3. Random world events ie gang wars, maxtac events etc
4. Cyberware more cyberware that effects look and effect humanity
5. Open the buildings
6. NETWORKS! hacking leads to network architecture like the ttrpg
6. Drones! I want to be a drone rigger and have a swarm of drones to fight with or against
7. Be able to make crew to do Raid style adventure to add multiplayer
8. Ability to auto dodge bullets based on reflex like the game and the npcs that can do so
The what options 👀👀
I'm hoping we get another more overpowered Cyberware that's more overpowered than Sandevistan that let's you go godmode perhaps mabye like a Sandevistan but with basically everything like built "Reinforced tendons" and "Gorrilla arms" in one implant/ less tolerance cost or like I don't know Adam Smasher's borg body or whatever that let's you become death itself
Third person camera is not what's needed. They need to make the environments more interactable. Take inspiration from immersive sims. Let me touch stuff, use normal items, turn on a TV without having to sit down on a couch and zooming in on the screen. In order to sell the whole immersion thing, you need interactivity. Also limit your equipment, and let guns actually feel valuable so you want to hold on to them, instead of just using the ones with the highest numbers. That's a problem with 2077 overall actually, the god damn level scaling. The rebalancing mod made the game so much better. A normal gun was a normal gun no matter at what level you got it, and it you wanted a better one then get (or craft) something with a higher rarity.
we should make the new game an actual rpg. you know, where your decisions actually have consequences and change the outcomes of not just individual missions but completely different endings to the story and different outcomes for the different people that you meet. I feel like the outer worlds did a much better job of this than cyberpunk and I bought cyberpunk expecting it to be that but more and there is none of that. also, they should make it an actual video game and not an interactive movie where I sit for 5 minutes at a time skipping through dialogue on my second playthrough just trying to get to the point where I can actually do something
Thank you for this list. So many content creators seem to paint Cyberpunk as a 'perfect game' when it's not. And while I like playing… There are times I find the bugs, and lack of promised features, really frustrating.
Just a side note: I find weird how you used RDR2 as an example, most systems in the game are actually super worthless/work in a contrived way, it has same issues as Cyberpunk, really.
Lifepaths have to be properly fleshed out, making sure we get to play everything (Jackie deserved better, we needed to actually spend a lot more time with him), Adam Smasher should have been stronger in my opinion, more companion interactions as you already pointed out and personally more diverse romance options (everybody basically just got one option based on your sexual preference).
uhm how about no cyberpunk 2 how about having cdpr give us the game that was promissed first and then talk about cp2 wich if everything went to plan wouldnt be a thing we would have had our perfect mmo action cyberpunk game (im crying i hate you CDPR i really do)
I don't want multiplayer in the game, then people will scream for like end game grind type of gameplay to do coop and it would take just dev time away from the game. But thats what I think about it.
My wish list:
More romance options and many more platonic companion characters with unique and interesting backgrounds/storylines.
More vertical level design and more vertical traversal options, mantis blades and gorilla arms should let you wall climb, and mono wire should let you hookshot or Spider-Man swing.
Third person cutscenes, what is the point of customizing my character if I never see their face?
More unique character customization, let me go full chrome, or get exotic mods, they exist in the lore but appear nowhere in the game.
More elaborate quest branching, if I make certain choices in a quest it should unlock exclusive options in the story down the line, or lock me out of options in accordance with my choices.
What they should change in the sequel:
* No longer an rpg – sucks that they could have focused on a better skill tree without it, better clothes, better guns gameplay. RPG is just a hassle for this. RPG just bloats your inventory with a bunch of guns, swords, clothes, etc. Make grenades do a certain amount of dmg instead of rarity for grenades. Retarded enemy levels are dumb. Better to just have to upgrade/customize weapons to deal with specific enemies.
* Better day time graphics. Looks so washed out during the day. Looks great at night tho.
* I think they should have options to be unmodified human, cyber human, and full robot. I feel like that would've been so much better world building wise seeing on the different options. Maybe change options depending on what you are.
* A more focused story. So much conversation bloat that does nothing but waste time. Ending is still the same too. So many pointless choices like life path and stuff that just does nothing. That or make choices and conversation actually matter.
* Better side missions.
* Better vehicles. Auto driving should've been in the first. Customizable.
* No more famous people making their way into the game stealing the budget and ruining the story.
Give us more reason to exist in night city than just level grinding.
I think an online multiplayer like a gta online would fit this game so well due to the universe. Making your own character, crews, or path in online play would bring in so many more people and would provide a crazy amount of fun for people getting tired of playing the story
Let's start with no.1: Sequel should be an rpg like they promised for cp2077 and not the action game they delivered.
how did you get adam smasher build??
I'm glad you didn't call for PVP, so many people do and it is a mistake, yes some people like it but it's NOT for everyone and not every single game needs it. A major turn off people have with GTA V is the overly chaotic public world and not being able to do much of anything without other players interfering, while people think this would be a good idea, it would destroy it.
Co-op…eh, maybe, honestly I'd rather have a competent AI buddy system using your friends like Judy, Panam, etc rather than human co-op as even now you don't really need another player and adding in more would mean tweaking damage which then make your walk the bullet sponge path that so many other games go down as more players mean more damage which means breaking the difficulty etc etc.
As for weapons, Yes I'd like to see more, but I'd caution laser and rocket launchers, personally, i believe they should be considered "power" weapons to be used sparingly (maybe add them around key set pieces as an option to use, like the heavy turret) if you're able to just tote a rocket launcher around and it were powerful enough to one shot large groups of enemies it would be the easy button for players and runs the risk of monotony. I believe this to be the reason behind the wrist rocket being the way it is.
I would like to see a more expansive clothing system (and a more reliable one too…reloading in excess of 20 times for one thing to RNG into the pool is quite annoying) I also find it rather disappointing that the NPC's have all the cooler outfits not accessible to V, this plays into the life path options as well..maybe when playing a Corpo..you'd actually like to play the role of a corpo and have access to all the Kang Tao, Arasaka gear. Alternatively maybe you'd like to BE in of the gangs to which including their gear as well. (I still can't get the Punk High Collar Vest…80+ reloads and it just appears to not be in the pool anymore RIP)
Aside from that, I agree with mostly all here, especially 3rd person, I understand their thought process but I can't help but feeling much like Destiny, Cyberpunk highly missed out on the 3rd person experience that it just feels natural to have.
Another concept I would like them to adapt from Cyberpunk 2020 is chippable skills. They could allow the player to chip in 1 or 2 skills that the player hasn't unlocked, with the level of the skill being capped by the player's neural implant.
They did touch on this a bit with the dolls in Judy's questline, but chippable skills are common in CP2020, and would add a nice touch without allowing the player to become too overpowered.
in the TTRPG, there was a delay before some skills could be used, to allow the mind and body to adapt, and this could also be adapted to the cRPG, again making this option useful but not overpowered.
I literally get tired of people wanting every game to be 3rd person. Hey look 3rd person. Quickhacking is now useless. The UI is useless. Ridiculous. Sony and Fortnite have ruined a whole generation of gaming "Oh its not a third person action game with stealth elements, its trash"
this may be a unpopular opinion but I'd like to see a cyberpunk game that's less of an rpg and more of an open world action adventure. e.g. one shot headshots with all weapons 'except special enemies' and clothing that doesn't add perks. basically no rpg elements. ik a lot of ppl will disagree and that's fine just my personal opinion
Wisdom From The Bible: 13Folly is an unruly woman; she is simple and knows nothing. 14She sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city, 15calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way, 16“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says, 17“ Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!” 18But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead. [Proverbs]
Huh? Cyberpunk 2? There is only 1 and they aren't making anymore so you lost me lol
Well we'll have a long time to wait for it since they said the Witcher games would be coming out before it so plenty of time to figure things out.
for my hope for cyberpunk 2 would be ng+, either joining, creating and/or destroying a gang, replayble gameplay, better romance and, my personal taste but can leave out, neko/fox girls. this is the future and we had a gang name animals yet no animal/anthro mods we could've seen, interacted with or use for ourselves for cosmetics. that and all the stuff you said is what i hope for. there's more but i can't think of them right now.
