This story is bullshit PR stunt
Purchasing the code would not pose any legal risk. AT ALL. Only content directly copy written is illegal to use for profit.
This game has way more problems than just bugs, like the lack of a.i. and physics.
They don't deserve much of a cry for support.
Its quite clear they used google translate to write the note, duh.
i think most western companies dont give a shit about other's source code, it is worthless to them
whats likely is that tencent or another chinese tech giant will pay for it and basically release the whole game in china in their name
I feel sorry for the CDPR Team now, everything that could have gone wrong, now has.
While I doubt the perfection bit, seems Strauss at least knows that high quality takes time.
As the expression goes; money, time, quality. Pick two, third is false.
I'm not sure anybody want that buggy mess source code.
Basically a hacker thinks he can sell poo poo wrapped in tinfoil as earrings
I’ve got no interest in Cyberpunk online
They said or I heard some where that they are going todo a gta 5 with red dead engine for next gen…. They want to fix bugs on a last gen IP…. Before they release a new gsme
Lol who tf is going to buy a code file for 7 milion good luck trying to find a buyer for a buggy game like that
I guess this means that CDPR didn't pay the blackmail ransom? This hacker should be a 'hero' for all the ppl that pre ordered the game from a fraudulent developer.
If thy give in to the Hacker and Pay, then thy just open the Door for it to happen again,
But by showing hackers now that thy don't give in to ransom demands, thy also stop future hacks,
and who is to say the stolen data even exists,
and even if thy Have the data what's to stop them from adding Viruses / trojans to do the same thing to whom ever pays or buys the stolen Data,
Best thing everyone can do is ignore the attention seeking hacker.
The gaming community is as full of crap as the companies they hate these days.
Have the hackers seen the game? Lucky if they get 7 dollars
Who would want the CDPR source code? The game is a mess.
If code gets leaked, i will happily unistall tgat game
industrial espionage is not a strage thing plus this would be great thing to CDPR since enable modders to speed up new mods and fixes that then can be fitted back to the game… this is so strange that probably CDPR are themself doing this
