Just watch the video made by crowbarcat, shows exacrlt how much of a shitshow the release was without even havinf a single line of dialogue or opinions.
Well said ! Gotta love those DF clips !
Cyberjunk
I played it on a 3070 at launch, 1440p Ultra, DLSS quality, held up at 60, RT reflections and it was a great time!
Game still sucks today.
"Kept 95% of what they promised" my a$$
Cyberpunk is one of my smoothest running open world game in my library, but it doesn't get credit on how it doesn't stutter.
Yes. Yes it was. Lol
I never gave a crap about NPCs going around drinking invisible beverages, not having daily detailed routines, or long police chases. What I was disappointed at was that literally half the talent perks were broken, and had no effect, or were just useless. Enemies don't even have armor stats since it was broken, so all those perks did nothing. Multiple others. And beyond that the whole cybernetics were disappointing.
Was hoping CD project get sued hard and get closes, just as example 2 other stuidos, so they wont release such TRASH full of lie in promotion.
Its so funny how Cyberpunk-2077 was ridiculously better on Stadia. I think this was the high point of Stadia
Yes.
This is absolutely unquestionable.
They lied about the demo, took money for a game on platforms they knew wholeheartedly couldn’t run it (and never, ever would be able to), prevented reviewers from being truthful with their own footage, paraded behind the sycophants they had accumulated with the biggest apology/propaganda tour I’ve ever seen over a game, dropped refunds on console creators out of the blue after the fallout, and all the while played white knight “leaving greed to others” as themselves laughed all the way to the bank. Biggest waste of my life as a player of games even pouring a single ounce of interest over the near decade of whispers and news and dreams and hype beforehand. And no amount of anime series or expansion packs or “definitive” version will make up for it.
CP2077 was, is, and forever will be a joke to me.
One of the biggest flops in gaming history. Just that
Rewriting history are we?
Cyberpunk has completely soured my view of the gaming industry and gaming in general. The fanboys rode that hype train and attacked anyone who gave a middling review before launch, before they even played the game. Gamespot's reviewer was harassed to the point they had to disable the comment section on their Youtube review for scoring it a generous 7/10 "Good". Another reviewer was sent images / gifs that would induce photosensitive seizures for daring to ask CD Projekt Red to put the Photosensitive Seizure Warning the majority of videogames show on boot-up. The game launches on consoles and everyone finally sees the game for the buggy overhyped POS that it was and suddenly everyone is just a hater? And now developers across the industry sit there and complain that Baldur's Gate 3 SHOULDN'T set the standard for similar games of its genre? They can go fuck themselves.
Also ty for new clips channel DF!
Someone explain to be how Cyberpunk has no shader compilation process on startup, when almost all other DX12 titles do.
Cyberpunk was a disgrace. Absolutel disgrace and is only marginally better today. I've now unsubscribed from this channel. I don't trust them to tell the truth anymore. Pity.
Either your deliberately pretending it wasn't that bad or you have done little research, the bloody map isn't even finish they walled of a section because it wasn't finish and there's the trains that's stations are blocked off because again the maps not finished, hell there's even that mansion in the desert shown off in trailers but for some odd reason the one in game is a low poly model that's, you guessed it walled off as it's unfinished even though it was in trailers.
After reading the comments so far, it seems like DF is about to lose a few subscribers over taking a mature view of Cyberpunk's launch. Was the game bad? Sure. Was it the end of the world? Not at all. Did people finally learn to stop pre-ordering games? Probably not.
Wall climbing and hanging, features like that would have been more worth it than ray tracing. The game looks good without ray tracing and I'm not sure how many people actually play it that way, especially when it came out.
It played gr8 on my PC with no hiccups, IMO it was the execs / shareholders who put the pressure on devs to rush things for money. Instead of like Baldur Gate 3 game development cycle & getting real peoples feedback & adjusting it to the gr8 game it is now full of content, no casino in the guise of a video game / live service (Just one payment for a complete enjoyable game).
Console Peasants are mad …. Lol
CDPR's fall from grace has been shocking tbh. The fact that they are now resorting to gaslighting their fans is disgusting.
It's not the thing that caused me to stop playing, but the obsession with police chases is an immersion thing, I wanted to get immersed in that world and I just find it unbelievable that the police wouldn't chase you after you kill random people on the street or things like that. What bothered me was the terrible AI and taking shot at enemies in the distance with a sniper would get almost no reaction from them.
Why are we having to listen to two representatives of the PC master race (Alex and his prodigy John), telling us that the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was OK. I'm tired of this "I'm alright Jack" attitude. The truth is the devs lied about the demo and released the game on platforms in a state that was not fit for purpose. It was clearly a scam to sell as many copies as possible without any regard as to whether it was a workable product on certain platforms. A dev who does that is never forgiven or trusted again.
You can't say a person is not a thief because he didn't steal from you, claiming he just stole off others. That's were John and Alex stand on this.
I buy games based on what I see in a game and NOT what I hear from any person. Also I buy games at least 4 days after launch, sometimes a week later or even a month – because I know that absolute most of games releases with tons of bugs. That's why for me personally Cyberpunk 2077 (PC) is a beautiful game which I play time to time again. All the whining is from people that somehow expect things that were never shown or even claimed to be present. Basically people expected full scale GTA+Witcher which makes this expectation totally stupid and unrealistic.
P.S. I still admit performance ISSUES on last-gen consoles… but again, have you seen witcher 3 on consoles? Sometimes FPS dropped to 20 or even lower. So again, silly you if you bought CP2077 while being sure that it will run well 🙁
Come on, CDPR is trying to gaslight us. I played Cyberpunk at launch (PC w/ RTX 3060) and there were bugs every few minutes. Subtitles persisting and stopping newer subtitles from loading in as people were talking, janky car physics, audio not loading in, and of course crashing like once per hour. It definitely wasn't me trying to be COOL by hating on it.
As someone who followed it since the first teaser trailer when the Witcher 3 was still big, and played it day 1… Yes it was that bad. It was an entirely different game then was promised after the first chapter, and the first chapter was only about 50% of what was promised. We did not get the most realistic city ever made in a game like one of the first trailers promised when you walked out of the mega building. It was missing public transport, NPC ai, enemy ai, factions, faction interactions, drone companion's, the rich half of the map was 3 mansions and an inaccessible casino thing, player homes were stripped down to their barest uses, character customization and character paths were cut down or missing, the weapon and clothing customization was missing, car customization was pulled out at the last moment and unless you were following it super diligently you wouldn't have known, and tons of the Jackie/V scenes in the trailers were just a fake montage from the prolog mission ending.
They also promised pre release every side quest would be bigger and more expansive then the Witcher 3's largest like the crones, that was a load of bs. Safe to say it was a train wreck compared to the original idea we were all sold on. This was all just the PC version to. The consoles were a whole different powder keg situation. To this day this game is still not even half of what was promised pre release, all the patches have done is give ease of life gameplay features like post start character customization or a few new items or a small quest here or there. CDRed in my opinion has not earned my forgiveness yet. Hopefully 1.7/2.0 will be close to the initial game promised but I'm not holding my breath.
Lol, did CDPR buy DF or something? Why would anyone even try to defend that launch. If the game was fine on PC and only released originally on PC, sure, but they released and charged for a non functional game on other platforms.
Also, what a dumb notion to try to make the console makers responsible for the release. If the devs had a day one patch in the works that was not actually going to solve the issues day one, cdpr was ressponsible for letting the platform owners know and delay the game. At least Sony had the decency to pull it from the store, I will always remember that.
This dumb video convinced me to unsubscribe from this channel.
Gaslighting. It was bad. First two hours were ok. Then glitches showed up in the hotel mission. Just had to maneuver around the bugs. The promises they made in the trailers weren't 100% delivered. Up to this day the police/wanted system is lousily implemented. I'm over CP2077. Baldur's Gate 3 on the other hand, delivered. It's the RPG that I always wanted. No more excuses CDPR.
played in pc after patches still shitty bugs and glitches. One mission with the ai taxi. No physics was involved. You can keep ramming the car and it wont move at all they the quality control is horrible.. And there where obejects on the ground that can ruin the driving experience. . And so many other quest that is buggy. Worst part of it is the driving mechanics is sooo bad. These are futuristic cars should handle well but they turn like a mf.
Console release was THAT bad, PC release was on par with other modern AAA games releasing in a buggy state.
My first Playthrough on a 3090 and 5950X was great honestly. Played in 4K DLSS Performance and raytraced reflections and i thought this is the best looking game ever. Also the story and setting was really nice. Straight up a 9/10 for me. Then i watched a friend playing this game on a PS4 Slim and i was shocked. They definitely had to scrab PS4 and Xbox One versions and make it PS5/Series X only on console and maybe even delay these versions. It was clearly a PC only game at launch.
I'd say yes for that question, considering I own it and haven't even played it for fear of starting a game and having to start over.
I have kept up on updates. I'm waiting for the DLC.
I played almost 200 hours on launch and didn't have a single game breaking issue lmao, the hate train was insane, streamers making money from it and all the sheep just bleating along with them.
They lied and lied again. Unacceptable
Cp2077 is PC game porting on Console and not vice versa. So that all of us have seen what's the difference.
The bugs weren’t the issue. I just don’t think it was a particularly great game to begin with.

I'm going to leave this here for everyone saying, "It wasn't that bad!"
Yes.
