Cyberpunk 2077’s Absurd New Patch Isn’t Even The Weirdest Story Of The Week

What A Weird Week is a weekly series on Cleanprincegaming that will examine the weird in gaming each week. For the inaugural episode? Cyberpunk 2077 rolls out a new laundry list of exciting bugs. G-Fuel gives us a very weird Sonic energy drink. Single player games are apparently getting way too long and a gamer has problems that even yahoo can’t solve.

What a weird week.

  1. What games are you playing this week?

This will be a weekly series, instead of chasing news stories four times a week, this series will likely suffice with maybe a few exceptions a month. THE IDEA here is to not take gaming news too seriously, and just have conversations about some of the weirder stuff, IN BETWEEN the hopefully weekly deeper-dive stuff. Let me know if you like this idea!

  2. I have 3 kids. When they got fussy, I sat them in my lap and let them play or just handed them a second controller. It is possible to parent and play. So much unnecessary bull shit conformations.

  3. Personally, I think 15-30 hours is a perfect play time for most games. Any longer and it’s usually filled with bloat and padding. Unless it’s something like Witcher or elder scrolls or BOTW where almost every moment is interesting and necessary, games don’t need to be hundreds of hours long. Not every game can be those masterpieces… especially not AC games on a 2 year dev cycle.

  4. I was also waiting until this patch to play the game. I've been holding off.

Then I saw the patch notes and people's experiences, and it convinced me that I either play it as it is now or wait for at least a year from now for any real improvements, if ever.

  5. My wife and I have a 4 month old. We both play (different) MMOs. We normally half play (i.e. solo content only) while our daughter is awake. Whenever she goes to take a nap, 1 of us plays with people and the other is "on-call" in case she wakes up.

We definitely don't use "taking care of our daughter" as some kind of punishment though lol. If she needs to be taken care of, game gets turn off and that's that.

  6. This woman sounds pretty awful lmao. Why did she stay in the room with the baby if he was going to wake her up from playing? It's like she wanted him to wake the baby up to spite him lmao.

Personally, I would have just moved to a different room with the baby if my spouse was in the middle of something that might wake a fussy baby. Especially if my spouse couldn't move from that spot.

  7. Don't you think it's weird that grown up adults are spending their time playing video games? Like shouldn't we be more productive during our free time? I often wonder why are we wasting our lives with games, I got nothing from playing them, outside of spending some quality time with friends.

  8. "Chilli-dogs" (hotdogs with chili-con-carne on them) are Sonics favorite food… i'm pretty sure this isn't mentioned anywhere in the actual games but it's all over the sonic cartoons
