Time for an update about the state of Cyberpunk 2077 as we round six months and approach seven, inspired by a recent bizarre investor report from CDPR on the game’s performance and its future plans.

I'm still waiting for the PS5 upgrade. it had better happen.
*small content update. Right, so maybe they add a barber shop or change car paint I will definitely spend a ton of hours in game because of it. GL
I bet they’re just preparing for a big relaunch on next gen consoles at this point. So glad I skipped this dud.
You know what got me hyped today? No Mans Sky's update. And I won’t even own a PS5 for the foreseeable future.
Minor correction:
Best running version is XB1 on XSX as the machine is more powerful than the PS5.
Having played the game on base PS4, XB1X and XSX I can confirm that the base PS4 is the worst hands down with my XSX being the best of the three. And it has still crashed on the XSX.
EDIT: On the first playthrough (start to finish on Day One) on XB1 I suffered 28 crashes from start to finish.
It feels like Anthem all over again
Time 🐦s
I completely forgot about Cyberpunk after my first playthrough, lol
I finished the game just a while ago and spent(wasted) near 150 hours in this game…not gonna lie i am really really disappointed even if without the bugs its an average game..it was my bad that i expected too much.. lesson learnt
thank fk I didn't preorder and waited for the reviews then finally bought after patch 1.05
Wait 6 months!? Wtf
Looks like they put the same effort into those graphs that they put into the game. 😑
CDPR can patch Cyberpunk all they like. It won't change the fact that they lied to us about the main draws of a game like cyberpunk, a deep story where the player's choices effect the game world. They lied to us about that right up until launch and unless they're going to overhaul the story, that will never be fixed.
Seems like they're doing a Bioware; assuming their unfinished game is a wash and having the bare minimum working on it to recoup whatever money from it while they can. The rest of the team is then left to focus on their next game hoping to move on from this and put it behind them. The question then is are fans really willing to forgive and forget if the next Witcher and/or Dragon Age is good? Obviously both studios hope so.
I regret preordering the game based on my trust with CDPR. By the time the reviews dropped, I couldn't ask for a refund on Steam.
Needless to say, this has been my last "preorder before reviews". I don't trust CDPR anymore……. Just like Bethesda.
Less crashes because of dropping player counts. No players no crashes. A patch gets released and fewer and fewer players return but the game still crashes.
More players equals more crashes. Between those patches the chart still drops but nothing was changed in the game.
So this only inidcates that its played by fewer and fewer people every time.
Yeah that chart did not paint a good picture ….
wow its been six months already?sheet
will play this game probably in a 1 year or 2 or 3 when is fixed and polished with a bunch of dlc
other than the crashes the game is garbage!
They pissed sony off with free refunds so sony took it off store to teach them lol
eats popcorn That's a shame.
I hope they get booed at E3..
It's hard to feel even a shred of sympathy for CDPR (the guys who "run" the show, not the devs who are probably being worked into an early grave trying to fix the game) – the blatant lies about non-existent systems/features, the hype they generated around the game through said lies, all the behind the scenes shit that has come out since the release, the state of the actual game on launch, lets not forget the part where CDPR told people to get refunds through Sony/PSN. They made their bed, now they will lay in it for the forseeable future. Only the absolute "diehard" CDPR fans are still giving them a pass, but it'll be hard for your average gamer to even touch another CDPR title after Cyberpunk.
where we are you ask? we are at the trainwreck near CDPR' grave yard with a really huge gravestone "Cyberpunk 2077. We leave the greed to other."
super disappointing
What I think is going to happen, is that they will devote enough resources to cyberpunk to fix most of the crashes and just good enough to get it back on the playstation store, release a handful of small DLCs, think a new car, armor set, weapons, minor stuff, then once thats done they will just unwind development on the game and shift most of their resources to working on the next witcher game since that would be more profitable and safe for them.I do not think we will get major DLCs or expansions that add significant content and pull a No Mans Sky, but thats just my theory and i hope im wrong and do deliver at least half the game we were promised thorugh content updates. But yeah, whether they actually stick to the game or abandon in favor of more profitable venture will say alot of CD Red.
It’s never going to be fixed
I know people love a good road map but seriously what’s the point now, they should never have bothered with it Witcher 3 never had one. It just makes people think of live service games which have significant updates and that was never going to happen.
At this point I’d even be surprised if we get an expansion.
Gotta say, I've NEVER seen a game studio release a f.cking Crash Graph. And to their investors no less, meanwhile not a word for their paying customers who they straight up lied to literally for years to sell this piece of shit game. Unbelievable. This is the type of shit that would justify the company to go under, if for nothing else then as an example for the rest of the industry.
I hope they fix the game eventually because I really like the characters and the soundtrack plus the graphics look incredible with everything maxed out.
From looking at that roadmap.
CDPR apologists and fanboys are gonna be waiting a while until that game becomes what they want it to
I’m loving your intro though
dude i love your articles .wew i didnt know you had a yt channel .
The problem with Cyberpunk is that it requires a complete rebuild from the entire base code.
And then they need to fix the story. Especially if you know the lore. In 2013 (In the Cyberpunk universe) Johnny Silverhand assaulted Arasaka to rescue his super hacker girlfriend Alt, he failed. That would make him, let's be generous? 24-25 as he was a popular and successful rockstar. In 2023, the bomb went off in Arasaka. He'd be 34-35. It's been 54 years since then. That would put his former friends like Rogue and Kerry Eurodyne (assuming they were the same age) about 88-89 years old. And unlike most Corporate Execs, they would NOT get life extention treatments. Yet somehow, they look like their in their fifties. The story needs to be redone.
Damn. I held off buying this because I had doubts that a dev the size of CDPR could successfully deliver such an ambitious game, but I was hoping they'd get there eventually. Doesn't look likely right now. Maybe that Keanu Reeves money could've been better spent elsewhere.
What a mess. They wasted money on musicians (crappy music most of it) and Keanu what a waste
It always happens. Doesn't matter how good the developer is, EVENTUALLY they shit the bed and reveal they aren't the perfect, golden goose everyone thought they were. Once upon a time I looked at Blizzard and Bioware as two companies that were absolutely beyond nearly everybody else. Everything they made was top tier, and they could do no wrong. Well, ya know, until they started to do wrong :p
Now I have absolutely NO faith in Bioware, and my trust in Blizzard is spotty at best. They do still have SOME bright spots, but they're certainly not what they used to be. And now, we can throw CDPR on the pile as well. Doesn't mean they're total trash that should never be given another chance or anything, just that they're fallible and capable of doing shitty things, just like any other developer. Guess it was time for a new generation of gamers to learn that lesson…
Im really amazed by CDPR and Cyberpunk 2077: half a year later and they still havent fixed the game, so wtf are they doing, its insulting towards us "idiots" who actually spend money and time on the game. I have never experienced anything like this, very bad business model!
