What’s up everyone – Big Dan here – and in this video, we’re going to explore what happens if you eliminate both Royce and Brick during the Pickup in Cyberpunk 2077.

So without further adieu, let’s buckle up, grab some iced coffee and dive into Night City.

Maelstrom is one of the most unique and interesting gangs in all of Night City. And in Act 1, V will be thrown into the middle of a leadership struggle within the gang – while trying to prepare for the Heist.

  1. I did this path couple times and actually liked it because of all the sweet loot ya get from killing so many. And i won't say no to loot, especially since i have no sympathies for Royce or Brick.

  2. I let Brick live cause he actually kept his word and let us go. Rare for a Maelstrom. Maybe I’ll end him next time but I always kill Royce. The “bang” V does before blasting his face is too funny.

  3. Basically, if you have a chance to kill Malestrom, take it. The only way to deal with them is with a fistfull of iron and plenty of lead.

Also, could you do a list of who you think is the worst gang in NC. The Scavs, Wraiths, or Malestrom?

  4. I think my favorite approach to this, just from a "badass approach" angle, is going in without calling Meredith, and just killing them all. V's responses to Dexter's questions about the meeting are just so badass.

  5. I love how you say they won't forgive or forget V's transgressions in the past, like Maelstrom didn't ask for every bit of violence they have coming to them, both just in generally how they behave (illustrated by the various missions involving them), but also how Royce handles the deal for the device. Double crossing Dexter, violently confronting V, threatening them with death while insulting them with every breath. The entire group are psychopathic pieces of shit, top to bottom. 🤣 They get zero sympathy from me.

  6. I think this is how I ended up doing it on my very first play through going in blind obviously .. I didn’t remember Nancy being jumped before hand by them like that though, 1300 hours of cyberpunk later I forgot ir plays out like this lol

  7. I remember watching a vid about this mission by MrSlack where he details how to make the most money out of it (21k) or as he calls it Cha-Ching. And he was right. I never feel sad about taking out any Maelstrom, that's for sure.

  8. If you Ally yourself with Brick, then on the way out detonate Royce. Brick will help you fight the cops and if he passes you get his special weapon. and then dum dum becomes the leader and in his mission if he attacks you get his special shotgun pistol.

  9. It’s almost November, Dan, stop with the ice coffee, it’s time for hot chocolate or coffee.

Unless you are on a tropical country/island, or Dallas, I know people from Dallas that go with shorts all year long.

Anyway, thanks for covering this one, I was replaying cyberpunk for the 2077th time and never decided to go this route.

  10. This is why YouTube Premium does not help when it comes to ads.

There is a 1.5 minute sponsor ad here on this 6 minute video, a fourth of the entire video…. I have Premium and this is why it isn't worth it. I'm not saying Big Dan doesn't need to have ads. YouTube needs to make them skippable even when in the original content like it is here.

Now going back to binging the videos here. I'm on my second playthrough and his videos have been great to see what would have happened if I acted differently.
