Oh no! You should have chosen pacifist. After 50 kills Skippy reverts to the option you didn't choose. So had you chosen pacifist, after 50 takedowns, you'd have a headshot-only smart pistol for the rest of the game. What's even better about Skippy is he scales with you, so you don't even have to upgrade him.
after 50 kills skippy changes the shooting mode to the other modus than the one you selected yourself and that can no longer be changed, if you want to have headshots you first have to select peace mode, skippy changes after 50 kills then to headshot mode

Borderlands 2 has a gun that literally screams as you fire it. It's hilarious.
I had to know what "skippy the kangarroo'' was about after you said that I looked it up. I wish I hadn't now, Skippy the bush kangaroo's song will forever play in my head. Where the hell was this televised anyway? I grew up in the 80's and I certainly do not remember it.

Bounceback gives a unstant small health boost and long continuous regeneration, but MaxDoc, especially higher tier ones, give you instant 30/50/80% health back.
In led-dense enviroment you often meet in Richard Nigth's City, I'd choose Doc for sure.
in order to use smart guns to their full potential be sure to visit a ripper so they can install a smart link in your hand also, Skippy is practically the only handgun you'll ever need since it scales with you as you level up!
