Is Jake Estevez modeled with Paweł Sasko's face?
PLEASE do the map-red string thing!! I picked up on a lot of the world building stuffed into shards and computers on my playthroughs. But watching your videos I realize I didn’t fully link it all together!
Extra: Psychofan also features Johnny's Pants in a suitcase in Gaston's bedroom. They're pretty tough to miss but make sure to pick them up to unlock the Breathtaking achievement and inhabit Johnny Silverhand both inside and out!
man, Heywood has so many connections, hideen details, nice touch and all of them are so unique.
I always leave Heywood and City center for the last because it is simpler to complete that way also I really love all the details you can appreciate once you have done other stuff from other parts of the map.
Joaquin is pronounced Wa-kin btw
at some point you should do a list ranking all the fixers from a personality standpoint
RE: Fifth Column mission
If you have the double-jump legs you can spring straight up into the open window.
The biggest triumph of this game is also its biggest issue.. if u stay in one region and complete all the NCPD scanners and gigs in it, u will see just how connected everything going on in that area is.. but the issue is, irs an open world game, and people r gonna play it like irs any other open world game.. ya do a gig in heywood then drive halfway across the map to do a side job with panam, then by the time u get back to heywood you’ve completely forgotten about those previous gigs u did..
So most players will never really notice how it all connects, e especially on a first play through.. the only way to take notice of how detailed n connected each neighborhood is, u either have to have played through the game multiple times, or u have to clear out each region one at a time..
This is why the great things cyberpunk does r so overlooked .. cdpr did some genius stuff and, in my opinion, completely changed up the usual open world formula, but at the same time they failed to convey that change to most players so most people who do 1 play throughs come away feeling like yeah it was fine, but nothin special .. when in reality there’s so many special things happening in this game
Another great video man, I absolutely love this series and this game.. hyped for some PL news later today !!
I always enjoy Heywood gigs. I wish Dakota's gigs were just as good because the badlands is such a vibe~!
I really like my Street kid start
I'm glad that I create a Female Latina V
Heywood is one of my favorite NC districts
And also Valentinos combat music is just pure eargasm
I start fights with the Tinos just because I want to hear that music
the goat posting again, will you do a breakdown of the phantom liberty information we may get today
This guy makes some good cyberpunk videos
There's another way into "Sr. Ladrillo's Private Collection". There is a way to get into the room upstairs by jumping up the side of the building using leg cyberware; just skip the club alrtogether.
I think I would have liked "Bring me the Head of Gustavo Orta" more if there had a been a way top go more off book; like in "Scrolls for Swine" where you can turn on your employer once you discover his secret. Orta is looking for a hit-man to go after Nolan Frakes, there doesn't seem to be a good reason V couldn't switch sides and start hunting Nolan. As is it feels like deliberately left unfinished to milk drama, leaning into bathos rather than pathos as a result.
I had no idea you can go to the funeral home to see names of other people killed throughout the game. I thought I knew everything after 1000 hrs. Thanks Sam!
in "eye for an eye". in it's own f'ed up way i think i can understand what tucker might have been rationalizing not stopping to assist the one she ran over. considering that first of she was drunk (duh..) and while it does not come across as far as i have noticed in the gig. but she more then likely have some form of trauma coverage, and seems like that sort of special entitled person that thinks that becouse she has some nice health insurance that then everyone must have aswell, so even if who she had hit was hurt in her mind trauma team could have been on their way to give out a nice little band aid and as such dident have to worry about it.
Another amazing video…bravo
Love the cyberpunk vids man keep it up!
Damn I didn’t know Gustavo actually did kill himself, I thought it was just a cover…fuck man. I actually was rooting for the guy. He didn’t do shit to deserve this contract being taken out on him and it’s all fuckin Nolan’s fault that his daughter is in a coma. After I learned the full story, I really wish there was a gig to kill Nolan…slowly.
Edit: But yeah Heywood has some fuckin bangers when it comes to gigs.
Pro tip to deal with karubo you can just use the suicide hack on him
I feel like Heywood was supposed to be a the first set of gigs or area in an earlier version of cyberpunk. Personally I think nomad or street kid it would make more sense, since you had lived with Jack. Moreover I appreciate that the Valentinos are made to be tougher enemies in the final product. Heywood family is strong, not Corpo strong, but strong.
Though, outside the bar for Fifth Column, you can find some (I assume) older Tino’s. They talk about the Tino’s turning more into a Corp, caring more about Eddies, than the typical Tino’s flare and faith. (Also if you’re speed running the mission, you can knock the Tino in the window and the camera after just jumping into the window after your big jump of choice)
Also, though it’s nothing important and I could still be wrong, Banri is “Bon-ree”, thanks Golden Time anime lol
17:17 SERIOUSLY? I always thought it was a cover up and he left the city! I should be grateful we don't need to find all these secrets to complete the achievements lol
Man, the Valentinos get all the good characterization.
For the On a Tight Leash gig, if you sneak into the building you can observe a meeting between Jose and an Arasaka representative
I love watching these videos. Helps fill in holes I missed. Plus I don’t always ready the shards.
You’re awesome for reading all those shards that I was *totally gonna read later*😂 great video!
Jose and Pilar may refer to characters of the One Hundred Years of Solitude by Marquez
Love love love your videos. It’s just very funny hearing your accent and pronunciation of Central American names.
people named joaquin: yass queen!!
anyone else have trouble with the going up or down gig? Its my last one to complete but the door is unpowered and won't open for me
I had NO idea about the "Lets drink to Jackie!" option… I have 900hrs in this game and I guess every time I either chose: in and out without anyone seeing me or full on grenade through the front door, don't fear the reaper style. Only on my last playthrough did I even realize you can talk to Gustavo Orta in his home…
Aaaaahhhh! 😢 I was blissfully ignorant of Gustavo actually killing himself after successfully talking him into leaving. 😢 This is the first instance of me regretting watching one of your episodes. 😢
Juaquin is actually pronounced Hwa-keen
Damn dude! I have played through this game at least 5 times, on my sixth right now, and I have missed some of these connections and alternate ways of handling some missions. Excellent work on this video.
Made the video 😎 great content as always gonna be sad when this series is over
I should talk to NPCs more when I replay this game once DLC comes out. In all the missions, I usually just sneak in, kill everyone then watch YT videos of things I missed.
Starting a CORPO WAR!
Fifth Column was one of the few quests with noticeable reactivity. Something the game's quests need more of.
i sniped rebecca from the walkway above and after i read the shard i felt sooooooo bad for killing her, it’s nice to know that there wasn’t any other way, but i still feel bad 😭
Love your videos man! Really appreciate your hard work in making these videos.
I really love the game but help me out over here. I am playing on max difficulty, I am happily struggling through the first half of the game and it is great. Gunplay is fun and hacking is not overpowered, making money and spending it on gear(or cars) feels rewarding etc. But then I will come to a point where my character is just too strong and I am one shotting enemies, or can take whole groups with ease. Second half of the game is just super easy – go to the place of the mission and destroy everyone in seconds. I am of course still dying sometimes if I am not careful, but the gameplay is not rewarding. I am doing many side quests before and sometimes main missions to push the game plot forward. The longer I play the more I feel like I am being punished for doing more missions and levelling up, because enemies get weaker relative to me. I wish enemies would stay badasses and not just turn into little babies.
I love the game, love the story and side quests, love the gameplay, love my V, love the lore and atmosphere of the game. Hate how mundane the game becomes and how boring it gets when there is no challenge in enemy encounters.
So I am wondering maybe you or anyone here knows any way to make it hard and challenging thought the whole game? Maybe there are some settings or tips and tricks or maybe mods that you guys know? Loved that video idea of Netgunner glass cannon where you talked about how not to make game too easy for yourself. Maybe I am playing the game wrong? Thx for hard work once again!
Excellent video, the gig Hot Merchandise was the only gig that felt a bit odd.
Thank you 👍👍👍
Here's some other details I noticed in the Heywood gigs:
– in the Fifth Column Gig, one of the background Valentinos inside the bar briefly mentions El Gallo. Apparently Valentinos were being asked by the locals to "take care of him", but they decided that it's not worth the hussle
– completing Gustavo Orta gig before Jackie's funeral, gives you a different scene during the Ofrenda, in which you can talk with some Valentinos about Gustavo's death, as well as overheard them talking about how Jackie and Orta became friends
– if you kill Gustavo yourself by starting a fight, in the beginning of the Pepe's sidequest, when you try to calm down some Valentinos harrasing a drunk Corpo, if you pick the regular peaceful dialogue option, those Valentinos will recognize V as the person they saw wandering around Gustavo's place before he was killed and suspecting that V was responsible, attack him/her
– third one for Gustavo, that I saw on reddit, is that, after his death, a new graffiti in Spanish will appear in Heywood, which translates to "Padre did Gustavo Orta".
– final one for Gustavo, if you return later to his office, the camera footage from hospital now will be showing an empty bed, implying that either Martha really did die or recovered (in Cyberpunk world, the first option is obviously more likely)
– in Karubo gig, if you do it before Monster Hunt, you can find a new mail on his computer from one and only Jotaro Shobo, greeting him back in Night City, while at the same time warning him to stay away from him
– there is a connection to the Psychofan gig in Kerry's mansion. If you read messages on his computer, in one of them he asks one of his men to get back this guitar as quickly as possible, because he needs it for upcoming concert, using any means necessary, meaning that this gig was given to V indirectly by Kerry
– a bit of speculation, but I think that The Lord Giveth And Taketh Away might be related to Jose Luis story, given that it features Valentinos using Militech cars to do some highly illegal activity, possibly more "provocations" on behalf of Arasaka. There is no clear evidence of that, but personally I think it fits and also explains how they got into possession of the cars they were now selling to the Nomads
– in the Tucker Albach gig, if you break in violently, she will have completely different reaction to V's arrival. Instead of being cool and composed, she will be terrified and begging from the get-go
– you can see parents of the girl killed by Tucker at Jackie's funeral, talking in the background about how Mama Welles holds up (you can only tell that it's them by using scanner and seeing their names), coming to show support for her after also recently losing their own child. While it might seem kinda random, I think it's used to portray people of Heywood as this very close knit community, where everyone knows each other, just as Jackie describes them in Nomad intro
– now for some pretty badass detail, if you approach Tucker with your weapon hidden away, after you talk with her and decide to take her down, when V pulls out a weapon, he/she will always do the first equip animation with it. It seems to be intentionally programmed like that to add more weight to Tucker's execution, basically showing her what you are going to finish her with
– for Rebecca Price gig, while it's not a detail, I did check and it seems like she doesn't have any lines recorded for that Gig. It's possible that they might have planned for that, but run out of time to record dialogue for her, or that the note was simply meant to show that, just like Jose, not all people you are taking down are bad people doing things for selfish reasons, but still they ended up putting others in danger because of their actions, so your job is to dispose of them
You are the best! I love these videos… Heywood is really the best in gigs perspective!
I saw a comment on another vid say that some corpos show up if you stick around after the phone call with padre for On a Tight Leash. Can anyone confirm this? Would check myself but haven’t had a lot of time lately to start my next playthrough
Love these videos! Having someone else look into the details of gigs and ncpd scanners while i just gun through them😂 its nice to see the story and correlations cdpr did on these gigs and other side jobs
I was hoping Pawel Sasko would shed light on Rebecca Price, but during his play-through he didn't mention anything.
What’s the name of the song used when talking about stealing back Kerry’s guitar? I think it starts at 22:34
Wow. Just, wow…
I have never gone back to Gustavo's place, so assumed what Padre said was a cover up. I've also never tried just walking in there, I always sneaked in via the balcony.
I've also never tried walking into the restaurant with the guy at the window. So I had no idea I could take a drink with the bouncer, I usually just stealth in and out. (I love optical cammo for this, bathrooms are a blessing lol)
As for the one where Padre suggests that Arasaka are planning a new war… Have you considered that maybe its not due to Yorinobu? Maybe Saburo already prepped this (your vid showed me that the second car in the garage having missing parts was not just my game lol, so maybe that's the reason why things had not yet got started) and Yori just has not had time to stop this or change the mission. Truthfully, I don't know if Yori was just anti Arasaka or anti Corpo fully but I think, like his niece Michico, he likes NightCity. So it wouldn't make quite so much sense to trash the place for him. Saburo, on the other hand, thing the place is a golden crêpe paper wrapped turd that needs to be erased from the world (lol) and the only reason we are able to wake up there after the heist is that Yorinobu took him out for us XD
I get the feeling that, while Yori is showing his teeth to the other big names in corpoland (basically saying he's a big dog, don't mess with him) that's just for while he is cleaning house at home. Once he has full control over Arasaka, he can look to make outside alliances with other corps and maybe there would not be a war between Arasaka and MiliTech (at least, not directly by his hand. What MiliTech choose to do is up to them. I'm sure tho, if they started it, he would be determined to finish it as he cannot appear to be weak to his own people)
