Taking a look at Google Stadia at 4k downscaled to 1440p vs Native 1440p on an RTX 3080 Gaming PC, is the PC Version worth $2K more?
We don’t usually compare Cloud to the RTX 3080 but this was highly requested to see how much of a difference there is. Google Stadia is running 4K visuals mode and the PC is running full Ultra with Raytracing on Ultra and DLSS on Balanced.

  1. There must be many figuring out the best cloud platform to play CP77. Some want the best graphics and are fine with around 30fps, while others insist on steady 60fps and graphics come next. Could you do video from this perspective? Got a big monitor with high res to play and cloud platform to choose for cyberpunk.

Which of them one looks best when settings are pushed to max: Stadia 1440p/4k (without raytracing) or GeForce Now at 1920p but with raytracing and all. Does the higher resolution feel much better than what raytracing adds to the game, or do the raytracing effects push the immersion and atmosphere up so much that you wouldn't want to experiment Night City without it, even as it is only 1920p?

For the fps-crowd: which cloud platform looks the best while pushing the steady 60fps? Can Stadia deliver 60fps at higher res, maybe even 4k, while visually looking equal to what steady 60fps appears on Geforce NOW and its 1920p limit?

Thanks for the channel, this is a hot topic you're well set.

  2. Would be more interesting to see some actual action/speed in these comparisons. A slow trot in the car isn't quite going to show possible differences in rendering distance/time for instance.

  3. For everyone who doesn't know: On the stadia version of cyberpunk, there is an option to switch between high fps or better visuals. Then the image quality improves significantly! I tested it also with my ps4 pro exactly on the same spot @1:10 (version 1.04) and stadia is better than PS4.

  4. Compared with an awesome gpu, Stadia comes out on top for the people just looking to play a bunch of games. Fair enough if you're in the hardcore crowd Stadia might not be the best or even aimed at you. But for people like me that have a yesteryear pc and don't want to upgrade then playing games like Doom Etrnal and CP 2077, you really can't go wrong. Then theres Gforce Now that has rtx on streaming as well. Game streaming won't replace anything, though I seriously think it can co exist with traditional ways of playing games and does have a place in the future.

  5. No brainer. Future games, need future tech. I can experience this game quickly anywhere with Stadia. Everything is quick, no downloads or manual updates or worrying about HDD and storage. I just jump in and out in moments. It even plays well on my cell phone 4G/5G. I'm ready to scrap all the overpriced junk dealing with videogames and upgrades. For decades. Give me my true cyber future. Meanwhile people fighting the market to secure a 3090 and 3080 which will be obsolete in 2 years when the next shit comes out. Nah. It's madness.

  6. Just thought I'd mention that the current Stadia version doesn't offer ray tracing settings to enable. The visual fidelity options are limited by comparison. Still looks freaking fantastic at $2K worth of savings.
