Select pacifist first, after you kill 50 people it will auto convert to other mode permanently.
That is the most frustrating thing in this game:
You have an only headshot gun, and you need 4 mags and a granade to kill 3 random dude, instead of just 3 bullet.
Of course somebody can say, it's an "RPG", but rather be the story and the character building more rpg and the action is an action game (if it is fps game, if you need rpg combat system, go for the orto view and not in real time) like in the new Deus Ex games, and not another looter-shooter like the Borderlands. It destroys more the immersion than the lot of missing features.
