Just a full on debacle. Some fun but so buggy that it stops fun with the plot the story, the way everything is done, even the combat when you realize the AI is worthless.
That being said. There is some captivating stuff here.

You roleplay as a merc regardless of what lifepath you choose, this isn't second life ffs. Buggier than AC Unity, I'll give ya that one but buggier than Fallot 76 or Batman AK on pc? I don't think so choomba!
This is not the greatest story ever told nor is it the most fun game ever made, which is what a lot of morons expected and why they are salty af. CDPR will have to work even harder to regain their reputation or they can say F it and just focus on pc from here on out. I wanted an open world Deus Ex with the quality of writing of the Witcher games and I could not be more thrilled. Keanu Reeves nailed it and I literally cannot wait for my next playthrough once all the dlc is out and it's been patched up a bit.

I own and am playing this on both Series X (using quality mode) and PS5. This is a must buy on a good PC and a Series X or Series S. It's a wait for next gen version on PS5 – even with 1.05 it crashes constantly and the resolution is a hit or miss. A wait for further patches on One X and PS4 Pro. An avoid at base consoles from last gen.
Glad i bought a series x, ps5 is weak. For being that big and ugly, ps5 is really dissapointing

Personally, I am going to go with reviews like the one that says C-2077 will make your head spin. Plus wait a few months before buying, while they patch it.
Solid review. I pre-ordered because I trusted CDPR to do the right thing and they deceived me. Never again. I'm playing on a base ps4. I usually have 2-3 crashes per game session even after the patches. Bugs everywhere, graphics often look like crap, massive framerate drops to the point where screen almost freezes and becomes a slide show for a few secondsIt feels like an ambitious game where they just gave up on a lot of the systems in order to get it out the door. I'm enjoying the story and lore. There are fun moments in the game. Realistically though I don't think this game will be worth paying for until the summer. There are just soo many flaws and glitches. I have no faith they will have fixed everything by February. I'm sure they can make it more playable by then but if they really want to deliver on what they promised that is going to take several more months. I would never recommend this game to anybody at this point. In a few months if they actually fix everything then yes I think the game will be worth picking up. Its got the makings of a good game but in its current state it just ruins the experience.
Overhyped and under delivered. It’s extremely evident when you do a lot of the “gigs”. There’s text communications between characters who you clearly should be running into and they’re talking about things that you clearly should be seeing. Cut content indeed.
"This is not ready for anyone" Well, I'm having a great fucking time, this game is awesome. I don't understand what everyone had hyped it to be that it didn't meet your expectations geez, this is The Witcher in First Person, no more no less.
This reminds me of ME Andromeda, there must have been some serious drama going on behind the scenes during development. There is no way CDPR spent 8 years to develop this game the way it came out. The pulled off the witcher 3, which was more ambitious imo. I feel sorry for the actual devs who worked so hard only to face backlash they're not responsible for.

The controversy is more interesting and deep than the game itself. Bought for ps4. Decided to wait to get next gen because I wasn’t enjoying myself. ACTUALLY GOT a ps5 miraculously. 11 hours in a new game. Still spend more time on videos about the game than actually playing it. Summer bummer dude.
No immersion whatsoever, and no impact of our choices. These were my biggest problems with the game. It felt dead. Everything other than the main story felt robotic and lifeless, there only to tick boxes. Zombie NPCs, half assed romances, permanently closed stores, food vendors you couldn't talk to, let alone order, hell you couldn't sit on a chair if it wasn't in the script. When I realized that I could loot people's stuff right in front of them, with no repercussions at all, I knew that this was a straight up FPS game trying to pass as an RPG. Huge disappointment. No amount of patches can fix that mess.
