The release of Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red (and its parent company CD Projekt) has been the kind of slow moving car accident that many cannot look away from.
So when the company announced that despite all the controversy only 30,000 gamers had asked for refunds through it’s “Help Me Refund” Program, curious minds might wonder if that’s the whole story.
But while many outlets reported things like “CD Projekt Refunded Only 30,000 Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077” (Kotaku), the financial statements actually delivered gave a much different picture.
Technically correct may be the best kind of correct, but it’s not the most informative…in Virtual Legality.

Technically correct may be the best kind of correct, but it's not the most informative…in Virtual Legality.
More cyberpunk is always welcome. It's fascinating how this game has affected CDPR.
Why do lawyers on YouTube number their videos?
You could say CD Projekt is in the Red
Welp, another chapter in the world of "game journalists dont know what they are doing"
I don't doubt the game made them money. But the long term damage to the reputation they built up over a decade+ is going to be near impossible to fix.
CDPR talking about their sales numbers is like that one meme of that guy celebrating despite only being in third place
Not technically wrong is the best kind of wrong" Okay Hermes 🙂 (upvote!)
You could say Tavern Keeper… keeps the lights on.
Urinalist at work : the less they do, the less they're revelant… They're juste "mostly" a band of social-network-opath…
And yet there's people out there telling you to play Fallout 76 and No Man's Sky
More lies and deception from a now shit company. A clear tactic by them to fool investors to rebuy their stock.
This just seems so obvious. You couldn't write those headlines without being willfully ignorant.
That's why I can differentiate the difference between your channel and others channel, you bring clarity.
✌🏻💕
I love the thumbnail! I wonder who's worse, accountants or statisticians…
I am thoroughly enjoying this Hoeg Law arc where he shows how incompetent games journalists are while maintaining his personally integrity and taking the high road.
✌️
3:31 Fun Fact: there are two Targets in the world, Australian Target and American Target. Both sell video games.
Thank you for your persistence, keep night city in the daylight.
Beam me up, Richard.
This is actually the first thing I think of, CDPR refund 30k, my first thought was, "wait people didn't ask refunds directly from CDPR"
And as I research, I found this video. Thank you!
CDPR can't catch a break but they deserve everything that coming.
Thank you for making this Videos!
Fantastic, as always!
A question:
If I sign up for your patreon, would that create an attorney-client relationship?
This is almost as great as YouTube CEO winning the fredom of expression award
Another thing that I feel that's gonna make analyzing refund figures absolute hell is that a LOT of people refunded their digital copy to get a 50% off physical at retails. I've seen more than one friend do it, hell I almost considered doing it myself. lol
They lied. Plain and simple. Lying by omission. And these "news" sites are inbred garbage where one idiot gets it wrong and then the rest copy that, the definition of blind leading the blind. But the real culprit is cdpr for once again being corporate scum.
Hoeg is like a surgeon. He reads a headline, looks over at his assistant, and says "scalpel".
Deception is deception, not matter how it's done…
Contrary to popular belief, lying is not illegal.
Only when it is done under specific conditions (i.e. perjury) or in a specific way (i.e. libel) then it is illegal.
I am sure there are many more definitions of when a lie is illegal.
I STILL DID NOT RECIVE MY REFUND FROM CDPR!
I did my part and returned my copy. I love CDPR but that game was unacceptable. I will buy it used or new physically when it's around $20 at retail

Who watch’s the watchers? Why, Hoeg Law of course…keepin’ em honest as always.
