  1. AMD FSR FidelityFX Super Resolution, can now be added to virtually every game using the latest Lossless Scaling tool. Developed by Hybred (a former game developer for Ubisoft), it is stated that the new tool delivers better image scaling and, does not suffer from stuttering and input delays in games. I thought I would give the Lossless Scaling Tool a quick test in Cyberpunk 2077.

    In my opinion I am not certain this software is doing what it claims, which is to internally upscale 1920x1080p X2 which would give me an upscaled 3840x2160p resolution. I tested Cyberpunk 2077 at Native 1080p with Psycho settings and I got similar to exactly the same performance from the RX 6900 XT. On a side note I have to admit 1080p usually does not look this good to me especially on my 4K 55 inch panel, but this looks pretty good….Maybe it is working and it really is upscaling 1080p to 4K…What do you guys think of the "Lossless Scaling Tool??"

  2. There is blurring and detail loss. The text on the signs are not 4k. The background looks blurred like when I run cyberpund at 1080p on a 4k monitor but there is also sharpening as well. Its like that image was just sharpened. It looks really bad. There is also a lot of detail missing compaired to native and DLSS. DLSS ultra performance looks better at 4k and not by a small amount.

    Looks like a lower resolution image than 4k and some sharpening. I am lookings at the ingame native 4k and DLSS Ultra performance. Then this video.

    For example at 8:21 the cables on the electric pylons disappear. This is a tell ​tale sign of upscaling. Image looks 100% like 1080p with upscaling to hi resoltuion with sharpening. Compared to DLSS this is garbage image quality. 4k native is a very sharp clean image in cyberpunk 2077. The cables wont disappear at native even far away. They are more aliasing if you move with DLSS and gets worse as the DLSS quality mode drops. The cable are thick ingame, so they should never disappear. Basically this is image quality worse than DLSS 1.0.

    Lossless Scaling is great in 2D games like fallout 1 and 2. The image quality here is very bad compared to native 4k and the lowest DLSS mode at 4k.

    I have 202.6 hours playing cyberpunk 2077. Thanks for the video.

  3. Lossless scaler does the same 1080p scaling as Nvidia integer scaling in the Nvidia control panel. So for that it's kind of pointless, i think AMD also has integer scaling in it's control panel.

  4. All that downscaling/upscaling tech is such crap. All the money spent on that tech could have been used to perfect SLI and give us double the frames easily without having to change any modes or setting.

  5. It looked like 1080p Integer Scaling with more Input lag on my 4k monitor. Integer Scaling in Cyberpunk doesn't work if your desktop resolution isn't the same as your game resolution.
