Cyberpunk 2077 | PS4 – PS4 Pro – PS5 | Patch 1.3 Graphics Comparison

– The PS5 version is still in development and the Nextgen patch is expected to arrive in late 2021, but I do not rule out a delay to 2022.
– Dynamic resolution has been optimized. This helps improve the overall framerate (especially on PS4).
– SSR noise has been slightly reduced on PS4 / PS4 Pro.
– On PS4 / PS4 Pro the number of vehicles and NPCs seems to have decreased, but I cannot say for sure. The amount is still quite less compared to the Xbox version.
– Popping is still something to optimize.
– Again, they have made changes to the lighting.

  1. It's pretty impressive to see the game running at almost 30fps stable on base PS4 while Xbox One struggles to maintain 25fps.

Considering that a PC to run this game satisfactorily is still quite expensive (and it's still kind of hard to get a PS5 or Xbox Series X) the PS4 turned out to be a good cheap option to play this game.

PS: I noticed that the game is more aliased than before on the Base PS4.

  2. I play on PS5 and I noticed I get a good amount of crowds and traffic. Of course not like what they advertised but a decent amount. There are some glitches that I found when it comes NPCs but the game runs smoothly and fast hopefully they continue improving.

  3. It makes me upset cause I know they lied about what this game was going to be but it wasn't the dev's faults they did as much as they could or at least most of them did, its incredibly hard to make a game, especially one of this size and it was the directors and higher ups of this game, they wanted money so bad they said send the game out instead of giving it more time cause they knew they could have people work on it after its release, if you look at the patch notes, yes its all very small stuff but they are trying to work there way up shit like this isn't easy to fix give them a little credit for trying (The Dev's) and fuck the higher ups at CD PR

  7. The population density changes depending on the time, if you revisit those areas at the right time the population density increases matching the xbox.

Also I don't think the optimisation has come from dynamic resolution scaling, could be part of it. Asset streaming has definitely been improved, the suden large frame judders are likely from asset streaming, they happened without fail on 1.2 everytime but on 1.3 they where massively improved.

This is further enforced by the improvement to texture quality, better asset streaming higher possibility for better textures.
