  1. Brendan Keller on Twitter had an excellent joke about programming that seems suitable here.
“A QA engineer walks into a bar. Orders a beer. Orders 0 beers. Orders 99999999999 beers. Orders a lizard. Orders -1 beers. Orders a ueicbksjdhd.

First real customer walks in and asks where the bathroom is. The bar bursts into flames, killing everyone.” In regards to the map, I’m assuming it’s being dealt with and will be made usable eventually. Yes, it would have been nice if it worked now or had worked at launch, but it’s being worked on and that’s all I can hope for. I’m still enjoying the game working with what I have right now and look forward to it being better in time.

  2. they are complicated issues but they shouldn't be complicated
these games are from the ground up built without thinking about modularity or improvement.
no wonder it's a complicated fix if everything is hardcoded

  3. A good analogy is that we as the consumers oftentimes see the tip of an iceberg as the problem. Yet the developer has to address mass that's underneath in order to resolve the tip.

But of course there is also another perspective which is, who the hell thought it would be a good idea to release the game when there's still all these icebergs about. The answer being: greedy executives.

And the saddest part is that even after the bugs and glitches are settled and the game runs smooth, I can't rate the game as anything more than ok. And considering this was a contender to be one of the games of the decade/revolutionary RPG that is just utterly disappointing.

But nevertheless, when starting up the game I will always smile when I hear the intro music, feel like a demi-god every single time. Did it yesterday after a 4 month hiatus and felt almost as hyped as I did when I did it the first time (The music is one of the things that met expectations). Then the disappointment sets in, every goddamn time…

  4. Hmm. … not exactly sure what he is referring to or complaining about…. but sounds like just more excuses when modders have come up with solutions for things he says are too complex for us to understand….

Hey Pavel… I am 52, been around computers since I was 10 and on the net since almost the mid 80s…. the one constant among all computer/computational hardware/software/OS/etc…. is that is it still ALL based on BINARY.

Anyone who understands that can understand the rest….

  5. Fuckers making goddammit excuses the only thing that actually needs to be fixed is the DAMN STORY who cares if the cars don't turn on a fricking dime. this game is depressing as hell and had so many loveable faces all wasted for a reality check

  7. Thank you for standing up for us people in the comments who talked about not reducing the fans like that! Most of us work our ass off to show how beautiful and complex this game is and its characters, I personally focus on romance content and yes the erotic stuff will happen it's a given. Nobody should be shamed for having fun with that type of stuff. I helped a lot of people who got disappointed in the game to find hope. I did post the pics when the nude model for Goro was found back then and yes I'm still using it, but my content is way more than that. I hope they see all the beautiful stuff we did outside of that and even with the nude models, it can be very artistic and beautiful no matter the character. We are an important part of the players left and many of our good friends are modders who do amazing stuff that you would never thought possible. Can we please try to support each other instead of creating more divide? I guess some people can't understand that.

  8. Turn-based combat would probably also be hard to adapt into the engine. But I'd be interested in combat modes which make it closer to the RPG. 🤔 KOTONC: Knights of the Old Night City, Baldur's Gate 2077, Night City Nights. Maybe disabling real-time action combat would free precious RAM and cycles to allow flying vehicles, open-world robot companion Flathead, etc. 🙃

  9. I ain't no dev, but every single other open world game has a moving minimap in it, no matter how complex or immersive the game is. It's probably complicated to fix their map because their engine and programming is a fucking mess left behind by people who left the company and the new guys can't fix it.

  10. I admire not only the effort, but also the transparency that CPDR is showing after their tons of mistakes. This game truly deserves it.

  11. Oh yes,i believe this guy everything he says, after CP Project lied to us. Even if they fix the game, then what? There's no reason to come back. Everybody completed it long time ago.

  12. He’s not wrong. The issue with the zoom out minimap mod is that it doesn’t load the entirety of the map pass the default size. If you have a good pc spec, it should load in fast enough, but other than that you’ll be seeing empty edge beyond 5 default size.

  13. Ohhhhh poor devs. Advertised the game to high hell, charged us full price, underdelivered and now we're supposed to be forgiving. They should crash and burn as a company.

  14. Cyberpunk 2077 needs a remake and the genre needs to change back to RPG as it was originally promised. No more removing features, no more lying to gamers, no more fake demos, and no more delays. Focus on innovation!
