  1. My thought when seeing it was that a cooler design would have been a repurposed industrial exosuit loader.

    Even considering that questline fluff, it would've been a really easy step to have it be Arasaka tech with that individual's own modifications to give it a shield and weapon.

  2. More than a tiny bit of those issues I am going to sum up to game design. If the thing was made to the full capacity of what it can be with the settings tech, it would become a situation where you are just fighting a bullet sponge. You are just putting rounds into the thing to eventually break it down or get a hit on the pilot. Which, just shooting a tank with a pistol to eventually break it is not very engaging gameplay more often than not.

  3. Heatgun is basically a 21 century meltagun. Personally I'd arm it with a machinegun for close in work or when the heatgun needs a cool down. It also needs a Centaur sized axe, sword or fist for really close in work. And now we have a Dreadnought.
