  1. So let me get this straight, did Matty just disregard spiderman 2 or disregard starfield? that comment was….. peculiar.
cyberpunk dlc will face off with a full game like starfield? OR Spiderman 2 will not be worthy of the battle between starfield and cyberpunk dlc?

  2. I normally think the same way about playthroughs when updates come out. If it's been some time, I usually re-play very good games all over again. But with Cyberpunk, oof… I'm one of those people that think the GAME itself was lackluster and overall a complete failure, not just that the launch was bad or that it had performance problems. I think the game ITSELF is absolute ass, and that there's literally nothing special about it – it doesn't offer anything that other RPG's don't. I'm actually kind of bummed that THIS is the game getting all of this new tech, I bet it would be even moreso if I were actually USING raytracing (with how demanding it is). I waited for this game so hard, and I unfortunately honestly have such a bad taste in my mouth that I don't see myself ever going back to it. $60 for not even 50 hours, ouch. This was MY Anthem / Fallout 76 disaster.

  3. Before Cyberpunk, CDPR’s reputation was along the lines of “we’re not like those other greedy developers” and now that the exact opposite’s been proven, I think they’re eager to regain the public’s trust.

It’s pretty awful how the game launched on last-gen consoles, but my experience on current-gen was just fine so I’m not really worried about the expansion because I was never even worried about the base game. I feel for those who suffered initially, but it’s hard not to give CDPR the benefit of the doubt when my personal experience was largely positive

  4. CP2077 was the only game I have ever pre-ordered on PC. It released and was a broken mess. Eventually they worked out some of the quest bugs/game breaking bugs and it was an alright story. But I will never pre-order another game ever.

  5. People who didnt play the game on launch on pc love to hate this game. It was console players who had the problems people complain about. There were bugs and glitches on pc, but every single game thats that big has those at launch, CP had more than those, but on PC it was an acceptable launch. Also, any one who complains on pc had terrible specs, I played on a gtx 1060 day1 and had 0 issues as well as I know 20 other people that were fine. If you didnt like the game, thats fine, but people are getting that mixed up wiht saying it was broke. People blew it out of proportion, it became a meme of sorts, and thats why everyone says it was bad, thats why people disagree. If you like RPG's, like story telling, like open world, like action, like CP genre, you love this game adn get it. If youre caught up on the fact they had their hands tied behind their back trying to optimize 15 year old console hardware, too bad for you that you dont like them anymore.

  6. Loved the video and love your rational approach you bring to the gaming sphere.

BUT!, To give Luke a bit of a fact check, Witcher 3 + the expansions sold more in sales than Cyberpunk 2077 in total if you compare all of those bars spaced out over the years, Witcher 3 comes out on top.

BUT! To counter my point, Cyberpunk in 2020 on its first released hits it out of the park compared to Witcher 3 and going from here I'm working on conjectural points but if Cyberpunk was polished and up to snuff regarding the hype (which it never is) plus wasn't shit on by journalists and critics for its reported bugs and disruptions to gameplay it would have outperformed twice the amount Witcher 3 did.

But that's neither here nor there and you should be mindful of statistics like these, but I'm no Darrell Huff, stats can be useful if they are applied with common sense and causative results that correlates to the data shown.

  7. CDPR has never released a game that wasn't broken at launch.
Witcher 3 was broken af when it released, and didn't get praised until it was patched, and had some DLC alongside it.

CDPR has a history of this.
    Never trust them lol

  8. I played the free trial of cyberpunk on ps 5 and think it’s ok but definitely not worth 50 dollars. I’d pay 20 bucks . Definitely has great bones but definitely not what they tried to sell us on . They put more time into making your players dong then the A.I for npcs. Or driving or police . I thought we were getting something more a tune to bladerunner and got more of a gta want to be . And Luke is right . These are not 10 dollar games or free to play they charge max price . So I expect max quality

  9. I was just talking to someone about video game hype, and the fact that we're all looking for Oblivion again… that game that just gets us so immersed that we lose ourselves and can't wait to get into that world. The videogaming orgasm.

Cyberpunk has made me immune to videogame hype.

It's such a shame… everybody always focuses on the games buggy launch state, but buggy games can be patched. The real travesty are all the lackluster, shallow, and mundane placeholder systems and mechanics that make the game mediocre on a fundamental level that were left in an early developmental state to shove the game out the door.

Those will never be fixed because they make up what the game is, and while I do think there are aspects of the game that make it worth playing, it will never be able to live up to it's potential or the hype we had for it.

  10. I dip my toes in the game for like a hour to see each update. But I haven't seriously played the game since 2020. After I beat the main story I haven't played the game seriously since then. Been waiting for a good update to dive back in. The expansion is gonna be that update whether I get the expansion or not. The expansion is going to release with the free update where you finally get car chases from gangs and police. I think there might be a drive by mechanic as well. So during that time I might replay the story and most likely get the expansion

  11. Been watching you for a while but these are some First world problems "they didn't release a game in good condition so now I'm upset, now I won't play anything new, now they owe me an apology" i mean if you don't have extra 60$ for a game – don't buy it… cyberpunk is not the first broken game, there was a lot of games and not a single one taught you to at least wait a day and check the reviews, how the game performs… those companies don't owe you anything, it's your choice to buy it or not, if you do – know the risks, it's not 2010 anymore. You keep talking about this bad launch 3 years later like it destroyed your life. I see so many people like you complaining and crying like kids. Have a good day

  12. I think it is best to wait for a sale if you feel like the mistake a company made deserves a monetary loss from you (naturally that is pennies to them but why should you drop what to you might be a substantial amount of money if they broke your trust). Right now I only preorder fighting games due to the discovery period and the fact that I know what I am getting when I purchase one. I still haven't purchased Hogwarts Legacy as I wasn't sure if it was solid, and I pre-ordered Diablo 4 after trying the beta and determining I would enjoy playing it. I think one thing that saves Bethesda is gamepass because you don't need to trust them, you can just try it on gamepass and if it sucks you didn't really lose any money on it.

  13. Dude I liked and subbed, I love your mind in this, I am the same concerning CDPR, I think holding these devs accountable is how we get better, high quality products, they are asking a crap ton for these games, and I just think when we easily forgive them it sets a bad precedent for what we as gamers are willing to accept.

  14. "They fixed it" is not an excuse for trusting them again. That was simply their obligation after releasing the game in such a crappy state. It wasn't charity, it wasn't good faith, it was their JOB! They have to do much more than that to win me over again.

  15. I will buy PL DLC blindly , I had very little bugs on PC TBH , I love the lorr, I love the story , in my eyes they didnt fail as much as for most of you . Judge me if you want all day long but to be fair , show me other games that have writing and presentation of the story as good as CDPR has . If you bought CP2077 because you are GTA5 fan or you are looking for all the features that RDR2 has then I am not surprised and I dont blame you . I am looking for different things in single player "RPG" action adventure games than that .I love RDR2 but lets be honest the phase and writing could be better .

  16. Lol. "no, im going to remain skeptical even after the game has been polished well after release" while thinking bethesda's Nth buggy craptastic game is going to be perfectly playable 100% no issues on their most ambitious and technically challenging project ever. Because Fo3, Fo4 and Skyrim were all perfect releases that totally wouldn't have flopped if it were any company other than Bethesda.

  17. cdpr also butchered the witcher 3 next gen update on pc. Yes it was a free update, but it was legitimately unplayable for most people on pc at launch. That alone makes me very skeptical of cdpr moving forward if they were willing to release yet another technical disaster even after the cyberpunk debacle.
