Cyberpunk 2077 has been on a roller coaster of a ride for a game since its launch and the release of Phantom Liberty is coming. With the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty we will see not only new content and areas but a complete over haul of core functions and systems of the base game. So I wanted to have a conversation about starting over. To give Phantom Liberty its best chance – and to give Cyberpunk 2077 its best last chance with me, should I ( or you) start a new playthrough?
Phantom Liberty is a new spy-thriller expansion for the open-world action-adventure RPG Cyberpunk 2077. As cyber-enhanced mercenary V, join secret agent Solomon Reed to unravel a web of shattered loyalties and sinister political machinations.

Errr, I can’t take this seriously. Yes the game had a terrible launch and was bug ridden but to say the story, pacing AND ESPECIALLY the voice acting was your biggest issue is wild to me. If those were the aspects you felt hampered your enjoyment (which is totally within your right) save yourself some money and don’t bother playing Phantom Liberty because those parts aren’t changing.
This is great news! I'll revisit night city
I'm with you on this one, I wanted to love Cyberpunk, but the gunplay killed it for me, it's just clunky
Sounds promising but I'll wait for people to get their hands on it in the wild.
Playing this game this weekend, one of the best stories in recent memory, but in terms of gameplay it’s not very fun compared to other games
But Witcher 3 still King around theses parts, best game ever made.
I will start over when they release the 2.0 update
I got the platinum a while ago
BTW I agree with you on the VC for male v
And I’m looking forward for the DLC
I purchased the game on PS4 and the game was completed broken. There was a main quest that I simply walked through because the AI and enemies literally didn’t even try to attack. You sell me a broken product you don’t get any more of my money
I’ve had this game on my backlist to play since it came out. I bought it very on sale from the PlayStation store. I got about four hours in, then started seeing the news about phantom liberty. So I’m hyped to pick it back up! I will start fresh because I’m essentially at the beginning anyway.
Maybe I’m slightly biased for the simple fact that this game let me craft a 100% viable melee build and that wowed me, but it did always feel like it stopped just shy of greatness. I played all the way through on my 1st character but never made it far with my 2nd. I’m definitely looking forward to another run when PhL drops.
I can’t wait to start over. I’m on my 6th full play through and this game is one of my favorite lore heavy RPG games, I stuck with it through the launch and watched it grow and improve. This is a truly incredible game

i wish they added 3rd person
I may not agree about the caliber of voice acting, but anyone saying "you stopped playing too soon" are well in the wrong.
2077 is carried by its existing world and background lore and if that doesn't appeal, the gameplay isnt going to change your mind.
Maybe you just dont like the game! nothing more to be said!
Honestly it just sounds like you cant past certain things to get to the parts of the game that really shine the best (build customization, side characters, side quests, and one off jobs). I doubt an expansion is going to change that. As great as an expansion as Blood and Wine was for Witcher 3, its still Witcher 3…and if you dont like that type of game its not going to suddenly change your mind.
im starting over because i missed getting the Satori🙃
I beat cyberpunk the first week of release and loved it. Have been meaning to do a second playthrough and I am very excited for the DLC. You're missing out dude
The problem is the expansion is made by the same people with the same warped view of "whats fun" and good. So I expect it to be too little too late.
I hate no new game plus its because i spend hundreds of hours 108 in fact getting all iconic weapons and i refuse to do it all over again
I will definitely be doing another play through will be my 3rd
I loved the game since launch. I will say play the game through now and start over. get a feel for the game as it is currently. However start the game fresh when the patch and dlc come out. I did that when 1.5 came out as the changes were significant.
I skip the original release because I was still on ps4 at the time. Now i'm just going wait till definitive edition come out and is on sale. My backlog so huge at the moment and by then game should have all bugs worked out.
