In this Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Review, we’ll be taking a look into the eagerly awaited Cyberpunk 2077 DLC: Phantom Liberty. Developed by CD Project RED, this expansion offers a completely new and somewhat independent chapter that focuses on espionage and political intrigue. The DLC is accompanied by a huge 2.0 update that we discuss in another video, so I recommend you check that video as well if you want to know more specifically about those changes.

*Note: This review contains mild spoilers about the beginning of Phantom Liberty, including the settings and motivations that get things in motion.

  1. that last bit, that CDPR will always support… is misleading, Phantom Liberty is the only planned dlc for 2077, with CDPR citing that the game is expensive as heck to develop for. it'd be interesting if CDPR happens to get injected with enough cash to actually motivate thier C-Suite to greenlight more development, unlikely, but one can hope.

  2. I never understood the hate for CDPR and people cry about the state of the game at the same time these people will still by games from Ubisoft, Obsidian, and EA. CDPR for the most part has a better track record than most game companies.

  3. In 1997, a major war between the United States and the Soviet Union is concluding, and the entire island of Manhattan has been converted into a giant maximum security prison. When Air Force One is hijacked and crashes into the island, the president (Donald Pleasence) is taken hostage by a group of inmates. Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell), a former Special Forces soldier turned criminal, is recruited to retrieve the president in exchange for his own freedom.

  4. An excellent review, as always. Will check out the dlc, along with patch 2.0. Looks like good things are coming to the game. Still a bit bugged that bugs still persists, but hoping those can get fixed with time. Thank you for the video!!
