The expansion was one of the few reasons I wanted a PS5, I love espionage stories.
I found the Ragnarok video and started watching other videos. This guy deserves most subscribers
(This video is spoiler free) What are your thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077 & Phantom Liberty? Let me know down in the comments.
They portrayed those characters really good, feels like they are real, remember me thinking about songbird so much after i finished the game, sending her to the moon
I'm waiting till an offer to buy it. Don't kill me, but I don't like "The Witcher 3". Not because I played it in a lower dificulty (great video, by the way) but because the main story broke the open world and the so many things to do on it. I trully believe that I would've enjoy much more the game just beeing a witcher making searchs, huntings and stories from people, just like the first two books. When I was doing some secondary stuff I couldn't help of thinking about Ciry, and the bast*rds who were hunting her, and what was the purpose of me losing time in other things. So, I am not a follower of this studio, so I can wait till a good chance to get this game. The Ciberpunk world is very interesting for me.
ive always thought it was off that youre supposed to be finding a cure and you are dying. i think they coulve easily gone the edgerunners route and just had that one mission (the heist) where everything goes to hell. overall i still love this game.
Awesome video! It's the only game that got me feeling empty. I got The Devil and The Tower ending.
Cyberpunk isnt an RPG its a linear action game with FPS mechanics. It really isn't a cyberpunk game but an adaptation. I'll never praise them for fixing it only accept it's a finished game. The expansion is good but still will always be marred by the launch and the lies. Gamers will accept things no other consumers do and it's kind of pathetic. The Witcher was far more RPG and finely crafted with interesting characters but not Cyberpunk.
I started Cyberpunk in patch 1.5 when it just started getting good so i could stress test a new computer. I felt a very similar "this is a bit jank, but there's the potential for a top 10 game here". After the release of PL it is assuredly in my top 5. Cyberpunk is such a good game that i RELIGIOUSLY avoid fast travel just so i can try out all the cool cars and absorb the Night City vibe.
It’s also not often mentioned but they came out with a completely free 2.0 version that added new cars, gameplay mechanics, item leveling tweaks, and overall quality of life improvements that make Cyberpunk the gem it is today.
great video
Phantom liberty gave me some massive highs, multiple pumches straight to the feels.
And put the fear of god in me during somewhat damaged.
been w/CP since launch on Series X (so i didn’t experience too bad of performance) .. while it was undercook on what was promised i still enjoyed the base game especially for its story but gameplay left more to be desired … then 2.0 dropped + Phantom Liberty & it’s become one of my favs of all time. CDPR just makes games that are perfect for me personally. Really hope they ramp up the rpg elements in the sequel, as well as, more choices! I think gameplay is in great hands tho w/what they did w/2.0
was that a shoutout to benjamin winters? lol
Phantom Liberty had me on the edge of my seat. I liked it more than the main campaign and that's saying something.
Dogtown is small but more vertical, with more attention to detail and very distinct locations. The story is extremely engaging while still easy to understand, the dialogue and voice acting is amazing and don't even get me started on Myers, Reed, Alex and Songbird. Peak character writing for all of them.
I also missed Songbird and Reed, even more than I missed other characters in Cyberpunk with the exception of Johnny.
Phantom Liberty is CDPR at it's best.
I just put 700 hours into a full playthrough. WOW that game is incredible. Depressing, but incredible. The deeper you look into the lore and secrets, the more you realize that the rabbit hole goes deeeep. There are mysteries that I still don't believe have been completely solved. A true open-world masterpiece.
If you can find the whole thing for $30, you'll be getting one of the greatest deals in all of gaming. Seriously, three weeks later and I still remember the whole Phantom Liberty plot. Play this game. If you gave up on it, dive back in.
I'm such a sucker for Cyberpunk now that I got all the pen-and-paper books and PDFs, AND I just crowdfunded the boardgame for $150. Oh man, the minis for that are worth it alone. The Johnny Silverhand mini that looks like it's glitching, Trauma Team, Brendan the vending machine… Chef's Kiss.
Hey Man, very very good video! I have watched a tone of video essays about Cyberpunk 2077. I am terminally nostalgic about my time with this game (I actually had an amazing launch via Geforce Now and not even being aware of what was happening online ;P). It is such a difficult feeling to convey what Cyberpunk does. The connection with characters and how believable they feel (the sand storm cabin moment with Saul and Panam <3). All that to say, I think your video is one of the best I have watched in terms of articulating how I feel about the game, especially your points about story, writing, and animation. Great work! And thx for the nice trip to memory lane. Almost every year since release, I have done 1 playthrough per year. I can feel next one is coming soon ^^.
Great take! I mostly agree. As a casual gamer who didn't pay much attention to the glitches, I felt what they where trying to achieve with it and was super relieved that they decided to fix everything. It's one of my favorite games now.
I will always trust CD Projekt Red because they always make sure the writing in their games is always at the very top of what’s most important. That’s what gives life to these characters. That’s what keeps people engaged. The rest of the stuff is easy to do when the story has been meticulously crafted and tied together.
I didn’t play the game on release, I actually played the game for the first time this year and man I was not expecting to love it that much, what a game! It’s also the first game I learned how to download Mods. Wish I could play again for the first time 🦾😔
This went from been the biggest disappointment and the only game I ever demanded a refund for to one of those games in their own dimension as landmark masterpieces Goldeneye,Ocrina of Time , Half life 2,metal gear,Bioshock, ,last of us etc etc… I've literally just finished playing with Phantom just as part of the whole story and every gig etc etc …I'm kinda gutted I've lived in Night city for 600 hours of my recent life !
I just completed Phantom Liberty and the whole game. The main story doesn't hold a candle to the story of Phantom Liberty which is one of the best stories in gaming I've experienced. It's really really good. Maybe it's because Songbird kind of replaced Johnny as the voice in ones head which was refreshing.
To me 2.0 and Phantom Liberty is CDPR doing what they were supposed to. I don't consider it redemption, I will not get hyped for their future games and I will not preorder.
