Caging Songbird felt like a pretty evil choice just to get a new ending and although V keeps his life he loses everything in the process.

  1. I feel like Panam acts in an extremely childish and selfish way in this ending, like you find out the person you were in love with has just woken up from a 2 year long coma and you don't even have the guts to tell them to fuck off in person. What a loser.

  2. I think this is both the best ending and the worst ending, the reason it's bad is because he lost all his friends and the woman he loved in 2 years, the reason it's good is because Reed offered us jobs, we can work and live a comfortable life, Panam lost, not us

  3. This really just proves to me that the only real relationships V had were with Jackie, Misty, and Viktor. After you’re of no use they cut off contact. All the other “happy endings” were V going along with what the other people wanted (leaving NC) but whenever V insisted to do what he wanted (live long or spend his short time as an NC legend) they’d leave him. This kinda taints the image I once had of the characters like Panam and Judy, all these endings make them seem absolutely selfish especially towards a man with a terminal illness.

  4. So how on earth do you get Johnny being all chummy? My last conversation he hated me and he constantly berated me, I won't lie, I felt like shit after that! Good thing I saved before the choice, so I can send Songbird off to space and join the Aldecados.

  5. The biggest plot hole in this story is how a person who was murdered came back from the dead with his own sons body… but nobody could take a broken engram out of V’s brain with killing em or taking away all the cybernetics. In a city that’s in the future…. Never deleted a game off my screen so fast. Wtf type of of was that? Too complexed for its own good..

  6. The one fuck up they made with this ending was not letting us say yes to the job.

All my corpo V ever wanted, after the relic heist and Jackie dying, was to live a normal life. Taking a desk job with the FIA at Langley is the fucking DREAM ending for him. He would never go back to NC, not in a million billion years. He would call Vik and the gang, offer to have them come out if that was possible (seeing as he has about 3 million eddies it should be easy) and then live his life.

  7. I'm miffed…

Panam, the girl that was willing to drop anything and everything to help V, the girl that waited for your call for help, the girl that is attached to V doesn't want to talk or even listen to him. I get that she's hurt but it just doesn't go with her character.

None of the characters in the new endings match, I get that they're hurt, but V went to hell and back helping them while he himself was dying… good story but I dislike the endings.

  8. See, I don't get this ending. I assume they couldn't get her VA back or something. But this is a entirely OOC ending for Panam. One, if she was mad at us, she'd tell us. To our face. Panam is never one to back down from confrontations no matter who it is. Having mitch say it as a cop out. And two, Panam was ride or die with us, the moment she heard the V was alive, she'd be on her way, either to kick the shit out of us, and then ask for answers. Or kiss is, and ask for answers. He doing this bitter silence treatment, especially after we say "we were in a fucking coma." doesn't fit her at all and comes off as lazy.

  9. I freaking knew it. If you chose this ending you deserve it. Being alive don't mean you're living. Kill songbird and give her redemption. Go on the suicide mission and face death with Johnny.

  10. with all the technologies could they just like have made his brain like half machine and half brain. Take the piece of the brain that got degraded and replace with machine parts or something

  11. best ending = let song die (she's miserable as fuk anyways), storm arasaka with johnny (all your friends survive), let johnny have your female body (funny as fuk imo), follow alt beyond blackwall and become an immortal

  12. it's not the worst ending the (k!lling yourself ending is the worst, cause the calls from your friends during the credits), but they went for worse than the Arasaka ending at least that one you didn't go into a comma for 2 years (probably about a month) but yeah the best is probably still the Nomad ending leaving with Panam (I was playing female V, so also had Judy with her)

  13. the other endings were miserable for a good reason, this one had no right to be miserable outside of Johnny dying.. it could have been avoided if Reed did the logical thing and contacted V’s friends to tell them he is in a coma

  14. Man I expected this ending to be way more fulfilling than it was knowing that V had the cure. But it was just as depressing as the other endings, losing contact with nearly everyone he knew and to see night city turn to hell and to add to that the fact he was only an ounce of the V he was before was sad. I guess you could say he got what he was searching for in the end though.

  15. Im so annoyed by my fuckin playthrough. Johnny and I are just not friends despite being 85% respect and making sure i picked all good options with him. It's fucking stupid that i probably missed one stupid fucking line that was a luke warm reply other than a pure positive reply with johnny and i didn't get any of that dialoge at the end and he was pissed at me and doesn't call me Vincent. I've had way meaner playthroughs where he was nicer to me. it's pretty jacked. Not to mention i couldn't get the secret ending this time DESPITE KNOWING HOW and following it to a T. I just wanted one save where i had all the endings available but god forbid i want the game to not bug out on me just once.
