Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series. Set in a dystopian Cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V” (played by Gavin Drea/Cherami Leigh), a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City”, where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
The game’s development began following the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine (2016). The game was developed by a team of around 500 people using the REDengine 4 game engine. CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves had a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, and featured the contributions of several licensed artists. After years of anticipation, CD Projekt released Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4, Stadia, Windows, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 15 February 2022.
Cyberpunk 2077 received praise from critics for its narrative, setting, and graphics. However, some of its gameplay elements received mixed responses while its themes and representation of transgender characters received some criticism. It was also widely criticized for bugs, particularly in the console versions which suffered from performance problems. Sony removed it from the PlayStation Store from December 2020 to June 2021 while CD Projekt rectified some of the problems. CD Projekt became subject to investigations and class-action lawsuits for their perceived attempts at downplaying the severity of the technical problems before release; these were ultimately cleared with a settlement of US$1.85 million. By September 2022, the game has sold more than 20 million copies. An expansion, Phantom Liberty, is set to release on 26 September 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A sequel was announced.

I’ve just got it with the add on never played it .
Hope it’s good
Should i play it on PERFORMANCE mode or RAY TRACING on SERIES X??
Are you going to do a story breakdown for this dlc? Would love to hear your thoughts on the endings and new game ending.
im very skeptical of this guys opinions
I love what cdpr did to the character face animation in the 2.0 update. Even in the lowest graphics setting (i play on the lowest setting) the face animation still look clear. It did justice to the big actor in the game
I still don't think you should be amazed 2.0 is free as they just deliver on something they diden't do first time.
I decided to go back on the ps5. After 2 crashes 1 hour in on the main quest. I uninstalled. Is it good? Don't know. Is it fixed? Debatable………
It only took them three years to get out of beta.
I got a ps5 for this
Cyberpunk 2-0-7-7 lol. Good joke
So I bought the game at launch, is the expansion for free?
Better than totk, bg3, SF
While an improvement it's still no where close to the game they promised
I don’t think it’s ridiculous that 2.0 is free considering it’s what we were supposed to get when we all bought the game at launch but I agree with everything else you said..
I’m glad CDPR took the Hello Games approach instead of the Bathesda approach in terms of shitty launches. Just hunker down, ignore all the people talking and make your game what you want it to be like No Mans Sky, and unlike Fallout 76
This update and expansion are what I expected from the original game. With this 2.0/Phantom Liberty drop and Baldur's Gate 3, other publishers gotta step up the content they are delivering.
With games releasing broken or "meh" and then fixing themselves months/years later, this kind of thing really makes you think the game awards need a new category: "Best Glowup" 🤣
Edgerunners saved the game
Goty! Just finished. Love this game forever.
I was so hyped for Cyberpunk when it first released. My wife bought the game on PS4 as a Christmas gift. I was so hyped she told me to open my gift early. The day I started playing was the day the negative reviews came out. I tried to like it, but it was an absolute mess. Never finished it.
Now I bought it again for Steam Deck in 2023 and I'm hooked. Everything about it is improved and it runs amazing on Steam Deck. There are some many fun things to explore. Side missions are great. Theres little easter eggs and fun things to find everywhere. The combat is fast and smooth. The story was always good and the character animations and voicovers are outstanding. I never thought I would be playing Cyberpunk again and having it blow my mind, but here we are.
The drops are basically some test cos they plan to make the game mass multiplayer
It's impressive but still buggy, unfortunatelly. I've been playing Phantom Liberty for about 10 hours on PS5 and I've already experienced some bad bugs, like all my autosave files becoming broken, not being able to finish a side quest because there was no access to an area, not to mention graphical glitches (headless Salomon Reed:P), frame drops or aggressive pop-ups. I'm enjoying the expansion but I'm not going to play the whole game again.
